Let’s see what’s in the August 2015 Bag & Wander box!
Everything was shipped in a white box sealed with colorful tape.
A peek inside. — All of the items were tucked inside of a reusable cloth bag. I didn’t see an info card included, so I’ll just jump right to the goods!
U-Konserve Stainless Steel Leak-Proof Container – Okay, I gotta say it… I love this container, but I hate the color. Well, the lid color anyway. It just has a late 60’s/early 70’s vibe that I’m not too keen on. Picky color issues aside, this is a great little container for food storage. It’s made of food grade stainless steel and is top rack dishwasher safe. It’s also leak-proof, which is definitely a big plus.
Lunchskins Reusable Sandwich & Snack Bag by 3greenmoms – This stylish reusable sandwich/snack bag features a velcro closure and BPA free fabric. It’s easy to clean by simply turning it inside out and popping into the dishwasher. Love that! The pattern is great too.
Eco Lunchbox Reusable Napkin – Of all the eco-friendly products included in this box, I think this is the one I’d be the least likely to use. While a reusable napkin is obviously a better choice for the environment, I’m honesty too lazy to be bringing home napkins to wash. (Plus, I tend to use quite a few at each meal. Also not good, I know.) That said, I do appreciate the fact that this is printed and woven by hand. Can’t say that about my napkin choice.
U-Konserve Bamboo Utensil – This neat 2-in-1 spoon/fork combo is made of 100% sustainable bamboo. It’s also BPA/PVC, phthalate, and lead free. It’s a totally convenient utensil to take on the go, especially since it has a spoon and fork in one. If I still had an office job, I’d definitely keep this in my desk.
Karinto Krisps – The package describes these as “an Asian inspiration of salted caramel, handcrafted black sesame krisps toffee coated with a hint of soy sauce”. Unfortunately for me, they contain dairy so I won’t be able to try them.
Giovanni Eco Chic Body Care Sanitizing Towelettes – Two biodegradable sanitizing towelettes were included — one in Lavender Calm and one in Grapefruit Splash. They’re scented with natural essential oils and made with 100% vegetarian ingredients. That’s my kinda towelette!
I’m super impressed with August’s Bag & Wander box! It definitely had a back-to-school vibe going on and I love all the eco-friendly lunch products included. I didn’t do a cost breakdown, but I’d say the value is certainly there. Unfortunately, sustainable/eco-friendly products are always on the pricy side. Overall, a great, useful box!
