Beauty Box 5 is an affordable subscription box that delivers 5 deluxe samples and full-sized products right to your door every month.
Each box will consist of a mix of both full and deluxe sample sized products — five in all. Items can include makeup, beauty accessories, hair, skincare, fragrance, body, nail products, and more. Featured brands will range from luxury, to drugstore, niche, eco-conscious, and even vegan-friendly. The total retail value will always be higher than the cost of the box.
Subscriptions are $12/month, or less with multi-month commitments. Shipping to US is free (Canada, add $3).
Let’s see what’s in the April 2016 Beauty Box 5 box!
Everything was shipped in a surprisingly small teal colored box.
A peek inside.
April’s theme was “Hydration Vacation”. An info card listed all of the items in the box, as well as photos, descriptions, and retail prices for each one.
Jelly Pong Pong Paradise Pigments in Fig Jam ($19.95) – FULL SIZE! A super pigmented cheek & lip stain in a very bold/bright shade of pink. The photo really doesn’t do it justice… It’s borderline neon. Color aside, this is clearly a pricey item and the design on the cap is really cute. 🙂
MaskerAide All Eyes on Me Hydrating Eye Gels (~$5) – These all-in-one eye gels are designed to brighten, hydrate, and firm the delicate areas under the eyes. They also help diminish the look of dark circles and fine lines.
Chella Passionate Pink Lip Pencil ($18) – FULL SIZE! This pencil looks a bit small, but the info card says it’s full size and as far as I can tell by the photos on Chella’s site, I’m guessing they’re correct? I don’t use lip pencils, so it really makes no difference to me. 😉
Soapbox Sea Minerals Body Wash (~$1?) – A handy travel-sized bottle of body wash infused with aloe vera, shea butter, and sea minerals. For every Soapbox product purchased, they donate one to someone in need.
Global Beauty Care Green Tea Makeup Remover Wipes ($1.99) – FULL SIZE! Makeup remover wipes are always nice to receive. These ones are infused with green tea extract, along with Vitamins A, C, and E to hydrate while they cleanse.
I wasn’t too sure what to expect, as this was my first time reviewing Beauty Box 5, but I’m impressed! There was a good mix of both full and sample-sized items, as well as both higher end and drug store brands. The total retail value was roughly $46 — crazy good for a $12 box!
