Box of Crafts is a new subscription box that features crafts for the whole family.
Each box will contain 3-4 crafts for your children, as well as one for you (the parent) to complete. Projects are designed for kids ages 4 through 8 and a sibling package is available at a discounted rate. Every craft will come individually packaged with complete full-color instructions and materials.
Subscriptions are $20/month with free shipping. For a limited time, you can try your first month for FREE with coupon code “NOV15“!
Let’s see what’s in the November 2015 Box of Crafts!
All of the crafts were shipped in a small white box with a colorful Box of Crafts logo sticker on top.
A peek inside.
November’s box was Thanksgiving themed and featured 3 children’s projects and one to do as a family.
All of the crafts were individual wrapped with the materials and full step-by-step instructions for each one.
Note: Normally I would have my girls complete each craft for the review, but since I signed up for this box myself (for free!) and I’m a bit overwhelmed with reviews at the moment, I’ve set these aside to complete at another time. Instead, I’ll just list everything that was included. Cool? Cool. 😉
Turkey & Pumpkin Placeholder – This kit includes everything you need to make both a turkey and a pumpkin placeholder/centerpiece. Provided are foam shapes, googly eyes, a wooden spool, pipecleaners, patterns, and scrapbook paper. You’ll also need a pen and some glue to complete the project.
Owl Pillow Boxes – These are so cute! I should have gotten a close-up shot of the finished owls, but you can kind of see how they’ll look from the tiny pic on the info sheet. The kit includes enough materials to complete five paper owl boxes. All you need to provide is glue and scissors. The finished owls can be filled with various treats and given to family & friends on Thanksgiving. 🙂
Autumn Tree Finger Puppet – Using the included pipecleaners, pom poms, pom pom beads, and googly eyes, your child can make a spooky tree finger puppet. Again, all you’ll need to provide for this craft is glue and scissors.
Thankful Thoughts – A simple project for the whole family to complete together, this paper craft involves cutting and glueing patterned paper onto a sheet of cardstock and decorating with a bow and magnet to display on the fridge. Once assembled, each family member can think of and/or write down various things that they’re thankful for this year. 🙂
While I like the projects included in November’s Box of Crafts, I’m not really sure that I’d be willing to pay $20/month for it. I do love that they did a seasonal theme though and I appreciate that they included a “family” project as well. It’s definitely worth trying a month out with their FREE box offer. — Shipping is free too! Just click here and use coupon code “NOV15” at checkout.
