All products are from ethical, socially conscious companies and a portion of all boxes sold is donated to a different non-profit organization every month.
Subscriptions are $30.95/month or less with multi-month commitments. They also offer a sample box for $11.95/month that includes 2-3 product samples and coupons. — New subscribers can save $3 on your first month with coupon code “buddhifriend“!
Let’s see what’s in my June 2016 BuddhiBox!
The box!
A peek inside.
The info card includes descriptions of each product as well as their retail prices. It also indicates if an item is vegan, organic, and/or cruelty free. Every month a portion of their sales are given to a different charity. This month it’s The Gentle Barn, an organization that works with disadvantaged children to teach them compassion and empathy for all living things.
BuddhiBox Yoga Hand Towel ($15) – This super soft, microfiber(?) towel is perfect for tossing in your gym bag to “absorb excess sparkle” as needed. It features the same design used on the outside of the BuddhiBox box at the top of the towel, with the phrase “Get your buddhi on the mat” at the bottom.
Loving Naturals Clear Body Sunscreen ($15) – A 100% natural, non-irritating sunscreen made without parabens, sulfates, petrochemicals, phthalates, dyes, or fragrances. It provides broad spectrum protection UVA/UVB SPF 30 coverage using a combination of naturally occurring non-nano zinc oxide and organic oils. It’s safe enough for the whole family (even babies) and is both vegan and gluten-free.
Tribe Tats Metallic Yoga Collection ($10) – Temporary metallic tattoos featuring yoga-inspired designs. Includes mandalas, om symbols, chakras, lotus flowers, and more.
KiniBands Siren Head Band ($13) – A super stretchy headband featuring a silver “Kinsman” alloy metal accent. The fabric is made of durable swimsuit material, which is wrapped around an unbreakable rubber elastic. It’s made in the USA and guaranteed not to fade with sun, water, chlorine, or oil.
Raw Rev Glo Dark Chocolate Espresso Crunch Bar ($3) – I think I get at least 3 of these bars a month, thanks to subscription boxes. It’s cool though, they’re vegan-friendly and come in lots of delicious chocolatey flavors. 🙂
Glow for a Cause Solid Vegan Perfume in “Dream” ($18) – I received one of these solid perfumes not too long ago (in a different scent) from another box and I really like it. The vegan formula includes coconut oil, organic shea butter, organic cocoa butter, vitamin E and GLOW’s signature perfume blends. “Dream” features “a modern and urban feel to an exuberant bouquet of flowers with a warm woody base”.
Bonus Item – This wasn’t listed on the info card, so I’m assuming it was sent as a bonus. It’s a pretty bracelet featuring natural wood and turquoise-colored beads.
This month’s featured yoga pose was “Ardha Pincha Mayurasana” aka Dolphin Pose. Full “instructions” were included on the reverse side of the card.
More useful, yoga-inspired products from BuddhiBox! The total value of all the items in the June box was just under $75. 🙂 Thinking about signing up for BuddhiBox yourself? — You can save $3 on your first month with coupon code “buddhifriend“!
