You can choose from a PDF subscription, where you’ll receive all of the projects via email — or a physical box with a projects booklet and other related coding goodies. The projects (geared towards children 6 through 12) are completed on the free Bitsbox website. Once they’re ready to use, your child can scan the QR code on the screen to transfer the finished app to their tablet or phone to install it on that device. Yay! My August Citrus Lane arrived and for once I wasn’t sure what would be inside… I didn’t really know what box our age range fell into this month, so it was fun to be surprised.
If you haven’t heard, Citrus Lane is a monthly subscription for babies/kids aged newborn-5. It’s $29/month (less with longer term subscriptions) and includes a nice assortment of toys, books, snacks, toiletries, etc. Sometimes they even include a gift for mom. Treats is a newer subscription box that sends you a selection of snacks from all over the globe.
Each box will focus on a different continent and highlight two to three countries within it, sending snacks from those particular regions. One month they may send an Asian-inspired box and include treats from Thailand, Japan, and Taiwan. The next month will be somewhere completely different.
