Let’s see what’s in my Winter 2021 Causebox!
Everything was shipped in a colorful box designed by artists Célia Amroune and Aline Kpade.
A peek inside!
A full color, 38-page booklet (aka Good News magazine) included a list of all of the available product options/choices for Winter’s box, along with closer looks at all of the items, interviews, recipes, and more.
Rose & Fitzgerald Brushed Gold Kettle ($98 value)
Annual members were able to choose from the kettle above OR a THREAD & SUPPLY Cozy Cloud Wrap ($115 value). I was a little torn between the two options, but ultimately decided on the kettle since I wasn’t sure how well the wrap would fit (I’m picky!). To offer this beautifully handcrafted piece to subscribers, Causebox employed a team of over 300 India-based artisans. I’m not usually a fan of anything gold, but I made an exception here because it’s just so dang CUTE. I should probably mention that it’s a bit smaller than I was anticipating (it holds one liter of water) — which is apparent once placed on a stove. 😉
Boon Supply Reusable Zip Pouches ($22 value)
The second customization choice for annual members was the reusable pouch set above or Activated Eco Reusable Silicone Baking Sheets ($18 value). I’m guilty of using single-use ziplock bags on the regular, so I figured these would be my chance to swap them out for something more eco-friendly. (Also, I already own two silicone baking mats. 😉 ) This set comes with a total of five pouches in the following sizes:
- Two 8.5″W x 7.5″H
- One 9.5″W x 6.5″H x 2.5″D
- One 7.75″W x 5″H x 2.5″D
- One 6″W x 4.25″H x 2.5″D
Each pouch is made of BPA-free PEVA material and has a convenient zip-lock closure.
Zeal Living Marble Geo Coasters ($42 value)
The third customization options included the coasters above, Sanctuary Project Thick Gold Hoops ($38 value), or True Moringa Rejuvenating Body Polish ($34 value). This was an easy choice for me, as I no longer have pierced ears and I don’t need/use body polish/scrubs. The sleek octagon-shaped coasters were handmade by a team of African artisans, with the majority being female. They’re made of natural marble and each one comes complete with 3 cork pads to prevent table damage.
ETTITUDE Travel Beauty Pillowcase ($25 value)
The fourth customization choice was between the travel pillowcase above and MAGGIE’S ORGANICS Heathered Slouchy Socks ($25 value). I almost chose the socks, but had to remind myself that I have at least ten pairs of unopened socks sitting in my drawer at the moment. (All from subscription boxes!) I always take along my own pillow when I travel, so I figured why not have a dedicated pillow case to use as well? This one is made from 100% bamboo and feels as smooth as silk — even though it’s 100% vegan-friendly!
IDLEWILD CO. Yearly Planner ($32 value)
The final customization choice was between the planner above and SOON SKINCARE Peony Foot Masks ($45 value). As much as I utilize my iPhone’s calendar, it’s still nice to jot plans and appointments down on paper. — Especially when it comes in the form of the adorable planner above. Featuring sections for daily, weekly, and monthly plans, as well as handy year-at-a-glance, goal-tracking, and notes sections, this has everything you need to keep 2021 in check. There are even 2 sheets of colorful stickers! Woo!
SKIN&CO Roma Truffle Therapy Face Toner ($30 value)
Both annual and seasonal members received this final item (no customization options). This face toner is infused with botanical extracts and promises to remove bacteria and cleanse your skin naturally. It’s also vegan & cruelty-free. It seems like a nice product, but I’ve been using a simple (yet effective!) toner that I make myself with ACV and it costs pennies per batch. 😉
Another awesome collection of practical, planet-friendly items from Causebox! My favorite items from the Winter 2021 box were the Rose & Fitzgerald Kettle, Boon Supply Zip Pouches, Zeal Living Marble Coasters, and Idlewild Co. Planner. The total retail value of everything in my box was just under $250! 😀
