June 2017 Chococurb review time!
If you’re new to them, Chococurb is a monthly subscription that hand selects 5 to 7 treats from the top chocolatiers in the world to be included in each box. The folks at Chococurb believe that chocolate is more than just food – it’s an experience to be enjoyed and shared. That’s why they only include the finest treats, made by the best brands. When you sign up, you’ll get to fill out a taste profile in order to receive the chocolates you’re most likely to enjoy. Let’s see what’s in my June 2017 Chococurb box!
In the warmer months, Chococurb ships their box inside of foam chest with a cooling pack to prevent the chocolates from melting.
The box!
Two insulated pouches were included this month.
Okay, onto the chocolates!
La Naya Orange & Juniper Milk Chocolate Bar
This handcrafted chocolate bar is made with all natural, organic ingredients including cocoa beans, sugar, skimmed milk powder, clarified butter, juniper, non-GMO soy lecithin, and essential orange oil. La Naya considers their chocolates “bean to emotion” — meaning that their unique flavors bring about an emotional experience. 🙂
Chocolat Moderne Solbeso Mi Mucho Avant-Garde Bar
I’ve gotten one of these bars (different flavor) in a past Chococurb and they’re SO pretty! This one is made with “blond” white chocolate, cream, cane sugar, Solbeso cacao liquor, and other natural ingredients. An edible work of art!
Joe Chocolates Midnight Coconut Dark Chocolate
Yum!! This was the only vegan-friendly item in this month’s box and that’s totally fine with me because this stuff was DELICIOUS! It features smooth dark chocolate poured over Seattle’s finest small batch roasted coffee beans and then topped with toasted coconut flakes. So, so good! 😀
Seattle Chocolates Fresh Mint Truffle Bar
A seasonal milk chocolate bar featuring crunchy chocolate biscotti chunks and pure peppermint oil. I have a bit of a cold right now (thanks, preschoolers!), but can still smell the minty goodness emanating from the packaging. Mmm!
Dilettante Chocolates Chocolate Covered Cherries
All natural, US-grown dried cherries covered in a gourmet blend of milk, white, and dark chocolate. They contain no artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives.
Fran’s Chocolates Almond Goldbites
Rich dark chocolate combined with crunchy toasted almonds and creamy caramel. Kind of like a organic, fair trade chocolate version of a mini Snickers bar. 🙂
Another nice selection of artisanal, small batch chocolates from Chococurb! My favorite this month was — not surprisingly — the Joe Chocolate Midnight Coconut. SO good! 😀 Remember — if you’d like to try Chococurb, you can save 10% on your first order with coupon code “ROSEBUDS“!
