It seems the less I check tracking updates, the quicker my Citrus Lane box arrives. Works for me!
If you haven’t heard, Citrus Lane is a monthly subscription for babies/kids aged newborn-5. It’s $29/month (less with longer term subscriptions) and includes a nice assortment of toys, books, snacks, toiletries, etc. Sometimes they even include a gift for mom. It’s by far one of my favorite boxes to open each month.
My girls are 2 and a half, so this box is geared towards that age.
Let’s see what’s inside our April Citrus Lane box!
There’s that signature bright yellow tissue paper, this time with a randomly placed Citrus Lane logo sticker. Hmm…
As always, the info card listed everything inside and included a few discount codes on additional items.
Green Toys Flower Set (~$13) – I love Green Toys! They’re all made with recycled milk jugs, are BPA/PVC-free, and are totally dishwasher safe. We actually got this set last year in my mom’s aged up box, but I still haven’t opened them since the girls were too young then. Now that we have two sets, I think it’s time to get our lil’ garden growing!
“If You’re Happy and You Know It” from Barefoot Books ($8.43) – This book is based on the popular nursery rhyme and features multicultural illustrations, as well as an animated singalong CD. There’s even a page that shows you how to say “Hello” in 36 different languages.
Eco Kids Eco-Finger Paints (~$5) – Plant-based finger paints colored with 100% natural fruit & veggie extracts. Just mix powder with equal parts water to get eco-friendly, easy to wash finger paints. This will be great for an outdoor activity now that it’s finally getting warmer here in the northeast.
My Super Cookies Chocolate Heroes ($~1) – Just one serving of these cookies provides 18 grams of whole grains! Plus, they’re organic, made with non-GMO ingredients, and produced in a nut-free facility. It also looks like they’re vegan too!
Overall, I’m happy with April’s Citrus Lane box. Nothing really wowed me (maybe because we already have the flowers?), but they’re all things we’ll use. The total value of all the items (using Amazon prices) comes to roughly $27.50, which is actually a little less than the cost of the monthly subscription. I did use Amazon prices though, so it’s possible that the retail prices were closer to the cost of the box. Thankfully, I took advantage of one of their many sales and pay much less than the regular $29/month so it’s no big deal.
