Woohoo! Citrus Lane time again!
If you haven’t heard, Citrus Lane is a monthly subscription for babies/kids aged newborn-5. It’s $29/month (less with longer term subscriptions) and includes a nice assortment of toys, books, snacks, toiletries, etc. Sometimes they even include a gift for mom. It’s by far one of my favorite boxes to open each month.
My girls are about 2 months shy of 3 years old, so this box is geared towards that age.
Let’s see what’s inside our June Citrus Lane box!
June’s box features a selection of items to keep your kiddo occupied during the hot summer months. As always, the info card listed everything inside and included a few discount codes on additional items.
“Beach House” from Chronicle Books (~$8) – A very “seasonally appropriate” book about a summer trip to the beach. I’m not a huge fan of beach-y activities, but reading this definitely made me wish we owned a beach house. This special paperback version was made exclusively for Citrus Lane, but unfortunately there are a couple of misprinted pages inside. I contacted customer service and it looks like they’ll be sending replacements out soon.
Stephen Joseph Fun Flyer ($8.99) – A soft, colorful dolphin frisbee made of water-friendly material. You can use this guy in the pool, at the beach, in the backyard, or even in the house (as my kids kindly demonstrated when we opened the box).
Wallet Cards by So Awesome ($9.99) – It was nice to see a new brand represented in this month’s box. These wallet cards feature colors and shapes, along with the name of each one labeled in 3 different languages. I wasn’t sure if my girls would be interested in these, but they were promptly snatched up and I began hearing a lot about “green rectangles”, “purple eggs”, and “pink stars”.
Hello Book from Hello Hanna ($9.95) – Thanks to Citrus Lane Mystery Boxes, we’ve already got a couple of these books stored away for when the girls are a little older. This kit features a blank accordion fold book with die cut pages and buildable stickers for your child to use to create their very own princess story.
Barbara’s Snackimals Cereal (~$1) – We eat Barbara’s Original Puffins cereal regularly (almost daily!), so it was nice to see another one of their products in this month’s box. These are crunchy little whole grain animal-shaped puffs that I’m sure will be a hit with my kiddos.
While not quite as awesome as May’s box, I was still pretty happy with this month’s Citrus Lane offering. All of the items will be used and I’m glad that they’re sending out replacements for the misprinted books. Value-wise, the items all total almost $38, so definitely worth the regular $29 cost of a month-to-month subscription.
If you act quickly, you can still take advantage of their latest “gift with purchase” offer — New (or inactive) customers can get 30% off their first box plus a FREE Melissa & Doug Farm Chunky Puzzle! Just use coupon code “FARMGIFT” at checkout. We have a bunch of Melissa & Doug puzzles and my girls love ’em! (Offer good through June 22nd, or while supplies last.)
If you don’t want the puzzle, you can still save 40% on your first box with coupon code “ROSEBUD”.

What were the misprints? We got this same box and I have to say I didn’t even notice the misprints! I just thought it was a poorly written story!

The title page was placed after the actual first page of the story and there’s a page that’s missing text right after that. Something about “Doors flying open… of the road”. Words are missing. :/
