Let’s see what’s in the March 2018 Degustabox!
As always, everything was shipped in a big box with the Degustabox logo on the side.
A peek inside!
An info sheet listed all of the items inside, as well as brief descriptions, photos, and retail prices for each one.
Loacker Quadratini Espresso Bite Size Wafer Cookies ($3.99)
A favorite in Italy, these bite sized cookies feature an espresso flavored cream filling in between crispy chocolate wafers. They’re made with real coffee and contain no artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives.
Oreo Mint Chocolate Candy Bar ($1.69)
Sometimes being vegan takes serious willpower… This is one of those times. 😉 Mint & chocolate has always been one of my favorite flavor combinations when it comes to treats, so I can only imagine how awesome this Oreo bar is. Not only does it have a mint cream filling coating with smooth milk chocolate, but it’s also packed with little pieces of Oreo cookie. Yum!
Post Great Grains Coconut Almond Crunch ($3.33)
I’ve always been a fan of cereals with “clusters”. This one includes a crunchy mix of almonds, sweet coconut, whole grain rolled oats, and more. It has no artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives. Though I did notice that while it states that it has no high fructose corn syrup, it does have regular corn syrup. Not a deal breaker for me, but just figured I’d point it out.
7 Days Peanut Butter Crème & Jelly Soft Croissant ($1.49)
This giant croissant consists of flakey layers of pastry surrounding a filling of peanut butter cream and fruit flavored jelly. Not exactly the healthiest snack ever, but I’m sure it’s good!
Elmhurst Milked Brown Rice ($5.99)
I was excited to see this product for two reasons. — It’s made locally (in Elma, NY) and it’s a vegan milk alternative that I’ve yet to try. It’s actually made with brown rice that’s “milked” using cold milling, which extracts all protein, fat and micronutrients from the whole ingredients making them more accessible for digestion. Each serving contains an impressive 20 grams of whole grains!
Julian’s Recipe Belgian Pastry Waffles ($2.50 for 2)
Imported from Belgium, these pastry waffles are individually wrapped and ready to eat right out of the package. They’re made using pearl sugar, which is hard and round like a pearl and resists melting in the high temperatures of the baking oven. Instead it caramelizes into a crispy, crunchy coating that eliminates the need for added syrup.
BluePrint Mo-Jo Matcha Energy Tea ($2.49)
An organic tea drink made with traditional Japanese matcha tea, maple syrup, lemon juice, moringa extract, spearmint, and lemongrass. Each bottle has just 50 calories and 100mg of plant-based energy.
HomeBrew Quick Pickle Mix ($1.50 each)
I’m not really a fan of pickled things (aside from actual pickles), so I can’t see myself using these pickling kits. For those who do enjoy pickling ~all of the things~, these are great. — All you need get your pickling on is 2 cups of produce, a pint jar, and a packet of corresponding pickling mix. Follow the instructions and you’ll be enjoying your creation in just 24 hours.
An interesting assortment of breakfast products and sweet treats from Degustabox! My favorite items this month were the Elmhurst milked brown rice, Great Grains cereal, and Oreo chocolate bar (for my kids!) . 🙂 — Remember, for a limited time you can get your first box for just $9.99 (regularly $19.99) — plus FREE shipping! — To score this awesome deal, just use coupon code “CJOFFER18” at checkout!
