Let’s see what’s in the July 2016 Divine You Conscious Crafting Kit!
Everything came shipped in a plain white box via priority mail.
A peek inside. — I love the pretty leaf paper!
Pasted to the inside lid was a list of everything included in July’s box. The inspirational word/theme for this month was “Journey”.
A stapled info packet included full details on how to make this month’s craft — an art journal. It featured instructions, creative ideas, tips, art techniques, and more. Additional resources — more ideas, videos, rituals, & visualizations — for the project could also be found on their website.
Paper Accents Create Your Own Keepsake Book – A sturdy little keepsake book was included to serve as your art journal/canvas. It measures 4.5″ x 6.5″ and features a thick chipboard front and back, with 25 blank pages inside.
A paper “Love Bag” included materials to use for decorating various parts of your journal.
Stencil – This pretty floral stencil was provided for adding some nature-inspired deigns to the cover and/or inside pages of the book.
Decorative Papers – Various types of papers were provided to glue onto pages for inspiration, make collages with, or use for whatever you see fit. Included were 3 handmade paper sheets, 2 handmade paper hearts, a map fragment, and 2 old book fragments.
Metallic Gold Paint, Foam Brush, Water/Paint Dish, Yoobi Glue Stick – More supplies for painting/decorating your journal.
Crayola Watercolor Pencils & 2 Paintbrushes – A small, neatly wrapped parcel revealed 12 watercolor pencils and two paintbrushes. After drawing in your journal with the pencils, brush a bit of water on them to create a neat watercolor effect.
LePen 0.5 Technical Drawing Pen – This high quality pen retails for over $8 on Amazon and is ideal for drawing, cartooning, design work, and yes, journaling. Something tells me my (much more artsy) husband is going to steal this one. 😉
Stone of the Month – Every box will come with a new “stone of the month”. The featured stone for July is carnelian, which helps to motivate, inspire, give confidence, and stimulate creativity.
Divine You Cards – Each month you’ll also receive a new Divine You card featuring a different word and image. Use these cards for inspiration, allowing yourself to focus on each word/image, developing your own personal relationship/perspective for each card.
“Om” Necklace – A silver “Om” pendant necklace was also included as a bonus for reviewing the box. You can also receive one of your own in your first box just by using the coupon code below. 🙂
The Divine You Conscious Crafting Kit is definitely a unique subscription! I like how it combines the art of crafting with meaningful self exploration. I also love that it focuses more on the whole experience of creating, rather than the finished project itself. (A major plus for someone as craft-challenged as myself!) — Remember, for a limited time you can get 10% off for LIFE with coupon code “FOUNDER” or get a free “Om” necklace with coupon code “2LRNECKLACE“!
July 2016 Divine You Conscious Crafting Kit Review
A truly unique subscription box for those interested in both crafting and soul-searching. The art materials were all nice quality and the project itself was doable for novices like myself, as well as more experienced crafters. 🙂
