DoodleBug Busy Bags time! October’s bag was Halloween-themed and my girls couldn’t wait to get craftin’!
If you’re new to them, DoodleBug Busy Bags is a fun subscription for little ones from Kidable Adventures (the company behind Little Thinker Box). Bags are aimed at children ages 3 through 9 and contain all of the materials needed to complete 4 to 8 fun crafts. Each bag will focus on a different theme, often relating to upcoming holidays or seasons. Monthly subscriptions are $15.99 and include free shipping.
Let’s see what’s in the October 2015 DoodleBug Busy Bag!
As usual, the crafts were sent in a bubble envelope and sealed in a ziplock bag.
October’s theme was “Halloween Fun” and all of the crafts were listed on the info sheet along with photos and tips on how to complete each one.
Shaped Spider Magnet Craft Kit – An easy craft for little ones to complete on their own. Just attach the adhesive-backed foam body parts onto the green square “body” and you’ve got a cute little spider to pop on the fridge.
Finishing up with the eyes.
The girls were quite pleased with their new spider friend. 😉
Cute, right?
Ghost Kid Magnet Craft Kit – Another simple foam magnet craft. Ev is all about ghosts (she’s being one for Halloween), so she was excited to make this.
The finished ghost girl! Ev loved her little orange “Hello Kitty bow”.
Spider Reflector Cuff Craft Kit – After assembling this reflector cuff, your child can wear it on Halloween night as a fun safety accessory.
Craft Stick Monster Ornament Kit – After removing the backing to expose the adhesive on the big green square, your little one can line up the craft sticks to create the monster’s face. Then follow up by attaching its hair, eyes, nose, and mouth.
Stickin’ on the mouth.
Monsterrrrr!!
Ghost Door Hanger Craft Kit – This craft was a little more involved so the girls needed more help to complete it. Not that it was difficult — there were just more pieces, all of which had to be put on in a specific place/order.
The finished door hanger was actually quite large and hard to photograph. 😉 Very cute though!
Polka Dot Bat Ornament Craft Kit – An adorable black bat craft with plenty of glittery polka dots to decorate him with.
Stickin’ on the teeny tiny dots like a pro.
Awww!
We loved this month’s DoodleBug Busy Bag! So many fun little crafts that are now spread around the house with our other Halloween decorations. This is the first year that my girls really “get” the whole Halloween thing, so they really enjoyed making these cute creations!
