Fit Snack is a snack subscription box that’s curated to include items that are both well balanced and nutrient dense.
Each box will contain 6 to 9 healthy items ranging from snack foods to cooking mixes, supplements, beverages, and more. When selecting products to include in the box, they use the Fit Snack “Perfect 10″. Put simply, they look for snacks that fall into one or more of these categories: Nutrient Dense (high in protein, complex carbs, low sugar index), Consciously Made (GMO free, organic production, sustainably farmed), and Diversified Energy (gluten free, clean eating, paleo, raw).
Disclosure: I received this box for review purposes. I was not compensated in any way. All opinions are my own. Post may contain affiliate and/or referral links.
Subscriptions are $24/month (shipping included), or less with longer, multi-month commitments. It also looks like they ship worldwide. — For a limited time, you can save 30% on your first box! No coupon needed, just click this link.
Let’s see what’s in the April 2020 Fit Snack box!
The familiar white & turquoise box was shipped via Priority Mail.
A peek inside!
An info card listed all of the snacks, as well as accompanying photos and brief descriptions of each item.
Also enclosed was a note from Fit Snack team letting subscribers know about the gift bag of extra items included this month, as well as the fact that they’ll be donating a portion of each purchase to help feed healthcare workers going forward.
Mozaics Sour Cream & Onion Veggie & Potato Chips
These crispy “popped” veggie & potato chips are made with organic veggies including green peas, yellow peas, potatoes, onions, and spinach. Each serving has just 80 calories, along with 2 grams of both protein & fiber.
Kay’s Pass the Peas Smoky BBQ Chips
A lot of the Kay’s products I’ve seen had either honey or dairy in them, so I was happy to find one that was labeled “vegan” right on the front of the package. These crispy barbecue flavored snacks are also gluten free, non-GMO, and diabetes-friendly!
Professor Nutz Peanut Butter Spread
Claiming to be “the world’s lowest calorie all natural peanut butter”, this spread has just 28 calories per 2 tbsp. serving. BUT when you look at the bottom of the label, it has a different set of nutrition facts “without digestibility corrected” that states 200 calories per serving. According to the FAQ on their website, the term “digestibility corrected” refers to the overall values of macronutrients and calories after the product has passed through the body, blocked by the carb and fat blocking technology. So… there’s that. (I think I’ll stick to my regular ol’ uncorrected pb. 😉 )
Ekoa Pure Coconut Dried Fruit Bars
If you can’t have fresh fruit, these bars are the next best thing. Each bar is made with only three ingredients — dates, dried banana, and dried coconut. They contain no added coloring, flavors, or anything artificial. Just 100% natural goodness.
Immune Booster Express
This all natural supplement shot is designed to supercharge the immune system and strengthen your natural defenses. It contains a blend of plant-based ingredients which includes elderberry, apple cider vinegar, habanero peppers, white onion, ginger, cinnamon, and garlic. I’m assuming the flavor isn’t all that great, but if it works it’s worth a try!
Swisse Me Boost Me Ginger Energy Blend
A product of the UK, these ready-made “smoothies” contain a vegan-friendly blend of apple, banana, kiwi, avocado, ginger, and lemon. They’re low fat, contain no added sugar, and make for a great on-the-go energy boost.
SMPL Collagen + Cacao Beauty Bites
As a longtime vegan, I’m never excited to see the word “collagen” on a snack food/product. Ah well… These “bites” are designed to be taken as a daily supplement to help stimulate natural collage production and improve overall complexion. They contain a grain-free blend of seeds, nuts, and other natural ingredients.
The following items were included in the bonus gift bag:
PlantFusion Chocolate Caramel Complete Meal
To give you a couple less meals to cook during these difficult times, Fit Snack included two meal replacement shakes from PlantFusion. These vegan-friendly, gluten-free shakes contain over 20 different organic superfoods, 4.4 grams of omega fats, and 6 grams of fiber to keep you satisfied.
Ultima Replenisher Electrolyte Supplement
These fruit-flavored drink packets contain a perfect balance of all 6 electrolytes, along with support minerals that work together to provide complete hydration so you can feel and perform your best. They’re both keto & paleo friendly, vegan, gluten free, and non-GMO.
VIP Coupons
The final items in the gift bag were VIP coupons for a free bag of Mozaics Chips and free carton of Hope & Sesame Sesame Milk. Nice!
April’s Fit Snack box included a good amount of new-to-me items, which was a nice surprise. My personal favorites were the Kay’s Smoky BBQ Chips, Swisse Me Boost Me Ginger Smoothies, and PlantFusion Meal Replacements. — Remember, for a limited time you can save 30% on your first box!
