Fit Snack is a new subscription box that features a curated selection of snacks that can be easily incorporated into any diet. I love checking out brand new boxes, so I was excited when they offered to send me their launch box for review.
Fit Snack doesn’t just toss any ol’ snacks into their boxes. They have a set of guidelines that help them choose items that are both well balanced and nutrient dense. When selecting products to include in the box, they use the Fit Snack “Perfect 10”. Put simply, they look for snacks that fall into one or more of these categories: Nutrient Dense (high in protein, complex carbs, low sugar index), Consciously Made (GMO free, organic production, sustainably farmed), and Diversified Energy (gluten free, clean eating, paleo, raw).
Each box will contain 6 to 9 healthy (yet satisfying) items that have total retail value of at least $30. While most of the items fall into the “snack” category, they also send cooking mixes, oils, and the like.
Subscriptions are $24/month (shipping included), or less with longer, multi-month commitments. It also looks like they ship worldwide.
Okay, let’s see what’s in the January Fit Snack box!
Everything was packed into a big turquoise & white box that featured the Fit Snack logo. It was a good size and pretty dang heavy.
First look. I loved having no clue what I’d find inside… (Okay, I knew there would be snacks… but which ones? And how many? Oh, the anticipation! 😉 )
The info card! All of the snacks included in the box were listed here. However, I quickly tossed it aside until I had discovered everything in the box on my own first. (It’s just more fun that way.)
Fit Snack Tank Top – This wasn’t listed on the info card, as it’s a bonus gift for those who sign up for an annual subscription. It’s super duper soft and lightweight so it’ll be perfect to wear to bed in the summer. (Sadly, I’m a lazy turd and have no use for actual “fitness” clothing. So sleep shirt it is!)
Kay’s Naturals Protein Cookie Bites in Mocha Espresso – All of Kay’s Naturals products have as much protein as 3 small eggs and as much fiber as an apple. These cookie bites are made with all natural ingredients including real coffee. I thought these would make a nice treat for my girls, but I’m not too sure 2 year olds need any added energy.
Somersaults in Cinnamon Crunch – I love these! I’ve gotten them in plenty of subscription boxes and this cinnamon crunch flavor is my favorite. These little nuggets are made with sunflower seeds, toasted grains, and other good-for-you ingredients.
Somersaults Coupon – Also included was a coupon good for one FREE 6 oz bag of Somersaults. Awesome!
The Protein Bakery Peanut Butter Cookies – Oh, how I wish these were vegan. 2 protein-packed peanut butter cookies made in small batches using a gluten-free recipe. Each cookie has an impressive 6 grams of protein.
The Protein Bakery Walnut Brownie – Yep, wish this one was vegan too. It’s a big ol’ chocolate brownie chock full of walnuts and 12 grams of protein. It’s also gluten-free.
Simply 7 Lentil Chips – These chips only have 4 ingredients. one of which is lentil flour. Lentils contain a good amount of iron and protein, so these are a great alternative to regular potato chips. Plus, they’re pretty freakin’ tasty.
Simply 7 Quinoa Chips – I’ve gotten these in a few other subscription boxes and I’m happy to get more. They’re made with almighty quinoa and have a really great crunch.
Oven Baked Organics Gluten Free Pancake Mix – I usually make my own pancakes from scratch, but this mix looks a lot healthier than what I whip up. It’s made with whole food ingredients including 100% whole grain flour from millet, brown rice, and teff. There are no additives or preservatives and it’s both vegan and gluten-free.
Fit Snack Veggie Chips – A nice alternative to regular potato chips, these are made with sweet potatoes, squash, taro, carrots, green beans, and purple sweet potatoes. Packed with fiber and a high source of Vitamin A.
Fit Snack Almond & Pumpkin Seed Mix – This is a mix of raw almonds and pumpkin seeds & nothing more. No salt, sugar, or other added ingredients. A great all natural snack.
Gocopod – The perfect way to take coconut oil with you on the go. Each Gocopod contains one serving (1 Tbsp) of non-GMO virgin coconut oil. Besides cooking, it can be used for oil pulling, as a hair conditioner, facial moisturizer, and more.
Nogii Whey & Quinoa Protein Powder – Two packets of whey & quinoa based protein powders were included — cocoa chocolate and vanilla bean. Both flavors are gluten-free and contain 7 grams of fiber & 20 grams of protein per serving.
Considering this was their very first box, I think Fit Snack did a great job putting it all together. I wasn’t able to do a cost breakdown, since there were so many items and it was hard to find individual values for everything… But that said, it was a pretty full box and knowing how expensive healthy foods can be (sadly), I’d say it was totally worth the monthly cost of the subscription.
If you’d like to try Fit Snack for yourself, they’ve kindly given me a special offer to share with my readers. If you join Fit Snack using my link, you’ll get a FREE Snack Fit Gym Bag! Cool!

My goodness, the Protein Bakery treats are incredible. And a sub with them is $60 a month, so that alone is a value. I need more of those treats, I tell you. 🙂
