Fit Snack is a snack subscription box that’s curated to include items that are both well balanced and nutrient dense.
Each box will contain 6 to 9 healthy items ranging from snack foods to cooking mixes, supplements, beverages, and more. When selecting products to include in the box, they use the Fit Snack “Perfect 10″. Put simply, they look for snacks that fall into one or more of these categories: Nutrient Dense (high in protein, complex carbs, low sugar index), Consciously Made (GMO free, organic production, sustainably farmed), and Diversified Energy (gluten free, clean eating, paleo, raw).
Disclosure: I received this box for review purposes. I was not compensated in any way. All opinions are my own. Post may contain affiliate and/or referral links.
Subscriptions are $24/month (shipping included), or less with longer, multi-month commitments. It also looks like they ship worldwide. — For a limited time, you can save 30% on your first box! No coupon needed, just click this link.
Let’s see what’s in the June 2019 Fit Snack box!
The familiar white & turquoise box was shipped via Priority Mail.
A peek inside!
An info card listed all of the snacks, as well as accompanying photos, short descriptions, and discount codes for each item.
Luke’s Organic White Truffle & Sea Salt Potato Chips
I’m not exactly the biggest fan of truffle-flavored things, but these potato chips weren’t too bad. Once I got past the first few bites, the taste was a lot easier to swallow (literally). The chips are made with organic, non-GMO potatoes and are both vegan & gluten-free.
Sanissimo Oven Baked Salmas Corn Crackers
These oven baked corn crackers are made with just 4 simple ingredients: whole corn flour, salt, slaked lime, and tocopherols (antioxidant). They’re non-GMO, gluten-free, vegan, and don’t contain any artificial flavors or colors, sugars, or trans-fats. (Fit Snack actually included a full box of these in last month’s box, and since they weren’t listed on the info card this time I’m guessing they threw them in as a bonus.)
Spudsy Crunchy Cinnamon Potato Puffs
These crunchy snack puffs are made from “ugly”/imperfect sweet potatoes that would normally go to waste. They’re 100% plant-based and feature a blend of rice flour, pea protein, and sweet potato.
Betsy’s Best Toasted Coconut Cashew Butter
Another “repeat”/bonus item that didn’t appear on the info card this month was this creamy cashew butter spread. It’s made with roasted cashews, toasted coconut flakes, chia seeds, demerara sugar, Pink Himalayan Salt, cardamom, and organic stevia leaf extract.
Chirps Barbecue Cricket Chips
Ehhh… Apparently these are the first chips made with “sustainable and nutritious” cricket flour, a complete protein with all essential amino acids. They’re non-GMO, gluten-free, and have 5 grams of protein per serving. (I’ll stick with my bean-based chips, thanks.)
Pure Lyft Energy Stir Sticks
Get a natural energy boost with these zero-calorie energy stir sticks. Each stir stick contains 125 mg of all natural caffeine (about the same amount as a tall cup of coffee) and provides a long-lasting energy boost with no shakiness, nervous stomach, sour aftertaste, or sugar crash. Just peel & stir into your favorite beverage for an instant boost.
AKA Snacks Salty Sweet Palmonds
This sweet & crunchy snack consists of just 4 ingredients: dehydrated sprouted almonds, coconut aminos, coconut palm blossom nectar, and organic spices. It’s vegan-friendly, gluten-free, and high in protein.
Bob’s Red Mill Better Bars
I’ve had Bob’s Red Mill products before, but this is my first time seeing anything from them in bar form. Both flavors feature a blend of whole grain oats, peanuts, organic honey, coconut, and other natural ingredients. They’re also dairy-free, non-GMO, and gluten free.
Vahdam Tea Sampler
Vahdam Teas have been featured in a LOT of subscription boxes lately, including this one. (I’m honestly sick of seeing them at this point.) This little box contained 5 different varieties to sample: Darjeeling Summer, Chamomile Mint Citrus, Turmeric Spiced, India’s Original Chai Tea, and Organic Himalayan Green Tea.
June’s Fit Snack box included a lot of repeat items, but thankfully there were a few new products as well. My favorite items this time were the AKA Snacks Palmonds, Bob’s Red Mill Oat Bars, and Spudsy Sweet Potato Puffs. 🙂 — Remember, for a limited time you can save 30% on your first box!
