I first reviewed Fit Snack back in January and was pleased with the selection of healthy snacks they sent. I didn’t get a chance to check out February’s box, so I was excited to see what they’d have in store for March.
Fit Snack doesn’t just toss any ol’ snacks into their boxes. They have a set of guidelines that help them choose items that are both well balanced and nutrient dense. When selecting products to include in the box, they use the Fit Snack “Perfect 10″. Put simply, they look for snacks that fall into one or more of these categories: Nutrient Dense (high in protein, complex carbs, low sugar index), Consciously Made (GMO free, organic production, sustainably farmed), and Diversified Energy (gluten free, clean eating, paleo, raw).
Each box will contain 6 to 9 healthy (yet satisfying) items that have total retail value of at least $30. While most of the items fall into the “snack” category, they also send cooking mixes, oils, and the like.
Subscriptions are $24/month (shipping included), or less with longer, multi-month commitments. It also looks like they ship worldwide.
Okay, let’s see what’s in the March Fit Snack box!
Everything was packed inside of their big blue Fit Snack branded box.
The info card listed all of the snacks, as well as short descriptions and a few discount codes.
Flamous Falafel Chips – I’ve gotten the original flavor in another subscription box (Love With Food, I believe) and they were really tasty. I love actual falafel, so of course I’d be all about a chip version. They’re packed with good-for-you beans and are gluten-free & vegan.
Detour Smart Bar in Blueberry – A healthy snack bar made with whole grain oatmeal and drizzled with Greek style yogurt. It’s high in fiber, low in sugar, and gluten-free.
Biosanes Magic Cookie in Oatmeal Raisin – A meal replacement in cookie form! It contains all natural ingredients including whole grain oats & raisins and is high in fiber, protein, & iron.
Movit Energy Gummies – Four packets of gummies were included in both citrus and berry flavors. These gluten-free gummies are scientifically formulated to fight fatigue and give you plenty of energy.
Keen One Quinoa Chocolate Nut Krunch Snack Clusters – Oooh. These sound good! They’re little clusters made with quinoa, dark chocolate, nuts, and more. They have lots of protein, are made with organic ingredients, and are both gluten-free and vegan.
Sweetwood Cattle Co. Peppered Beef Jerky – I’m always uncomfortable including/write about animal products on my blog… So this is clearly beef jerky and if you want to learn more, feel free to click on the link. 😉
Bio Coffee – This is said to be the healthiest coffee in the world. It’s 100% organic alkaline wheatgrass coffee with 3-5 servings of greens in one cup. It’s also caffeine-free and an excellent source of fiber.
Wowbutter – A peanut-free alternative to peanut butter, this all natural spread is made with toasted soy nuts.
The back of this month’s info card included a “Fit Snack March Madness Workout” to help you stay in shape.
Fit Snack put together another fun box for March. There were a lot of brands that were new to me, which is always nice. Once again, I didn’t do a cost breakdown (I rarely do for snack boxes), but it was a pretty full box and knowing how expensive healthy foods can be, I’d say it was totally worth the monthly cost of the subscription.
If you’d like to try Fit Snack for yourself, they’ve kindly given me a special offer to share with my readers. If you join Fit Snack using my link, you’ll get a FREE Snack Fit Gym Bag! Cool!
