September 2017 Fit Snack review time!
If you’re new to them, Fit Snack is a snack subscription box that’s curated to include items that are both well balanced and nutrient dense. When selecting products to include in the box, they use the Fit Snack “Perfect 10″. Put simply, they look for snacks that fall into one or more of these categories: Nutrient Dense (high in protein, complex carbs, low sugar index), Consciously Made (GMO free, organic production, sustainably farmed), and Diversified Energy (gluten free, clean eating, paleo, raw).
Disclosure: I received this box for review purposes. I was not compensated in any way. All opinions are my own. Post may contain affiliate and/or referral links.
Each box will contain 6 to 9 healthy (yet satisfying) items that have total retail value of at least $30. While most of the items fall into the “snack” category, they also send cooking mixes, supplements, beverages, and more.
Subscriptions are $24/month (shipping included), or less with longer, multi-month commitments. It also looks like they ship worldwide. — For a limited time, you can save $3 on your first box! No coupon needed, just click this link.
Let’s see what’s in the September 2017 Fit Snack box!
The familiar white & turquoise box was shipped via Priority Mail.
A peek inside!
An info card listed all of the snacks, as well as accompanying photos, short descriptions, and a few discount codes.
Trophy Nut Buffalo Peanuts
These spicy peanuts are flavored Buffalo wing style and include hot sauce, paprika, garlic, and other natural flavors. I just sampled a few (okay, half the bag) and they’re quite good. Spicy, but not overly so. 🙂
Pasta Chips in Garlic Olive Oil
I’ve gotten these pasta chips in quite a few different snack boxes. They’re authentic Italian baked pasta snacks made with semolina flour and Italian herbs. They’re non-GMO and one bag has just 120 calories.
Ally’s Bar Sweet Potato with Apple Carrot Ginger
This gluten-free, non-GMO energy bar is made with natural ingredients including dates, apples, quinoa, sweet potato powder, carrots, ginger, and more. It has 4 grams of both fiber, as well as protein.
Amsety Bar in Peanut Butter
Amsety Bar is the first nutrition bar to help support liver health. It’s made with organic, non-GMO ingredients and contains no refined sugar, sodium, or gluten. It’s also dairy-free and vegan-friendly. I’ve had these before and they’re actually really tasty!
Creation Nation Energy Bar Mix
I am SO excited to try this energy ball/bar/bite mix! It requires no baking and only takes minutes to make. Ingredients include gluten free rolled oats, organic shredded coconut, organic flaxseed meal, and semi-sweet chocolate chips. Yum!!
Purely Inspired French Vanilla Organic Protein Powder
I’m always happy to see these vegan-friendly protein powder packets. I drink a smoothie every day and these make a great addition. They’re gluten-free, non-GMO, and have an impressive 20 grams of plant-based protein per serving.
Leap Instant Smoothie Bowl
This single pouch contains 10 different organic fruits & veggies and is the equivalent to 4 servings of fruits/veggies. It has 4 grams of fiber and an impressive 10 grams of protein per serving. Blend it into your favorite smoothie or use it as a base for a smoothie bowl.
KALA Sea Salt & Vinegar Crunch Fava Beans
A big bag of roasted fava beans flavored with sea salt and vinegar. These are gluten-free, vegan friendly and a good source of both protein & fiber. Fit Snack included this same exact item in last month’s box, but the info card does point out that it’s “back by popular demand”.
Salad Power Veggies + Apple Juice
This claims to be “the world’s first drinkable salad” and contains 100% natural fruits & veggies. It has more than 3000% of Vitamin C and 2.75 servings of veggies in each bottle.
Another nice assortment of healthy snacks & drinks from Fit Snack! My favorite items this time were the energy bar mix, protein powder, snack/energy bars, and peanuts. 🙂 — Remember, for a limited time you can save $3 on your first box! No coupon needed, just click this link.
