The Fortune Cookie Soap Box is a quarterly offering of bath & body goods from Fortune Cookie Soap. A new product line is launched 4 times a year and the box will contain some of these products and be shipped 2 weeks before the official launch. This gives you a sneak peek at the new line and a chance to try them out before anyone else. Plus they also include a $10 gift code to use on your next order. Cool!
Every box will contain 8 sample sized products, including one of their signature fortune cookie soaps. Samples can include lotions, bath salts, candles, hand sanitizers, room sprays, and more. Subscriptions are $19.99 and shipping is free. Boxes tend to sell out fast (this one already did), so sign up for the winter box while you can!
This was my first Fortune Cookie Soap Box and I couldn’t wait to see what was inside!
First look. The theme for the fall box is “Witch, Please!”, which I guess is a tribute to “Wicked”(?). I absolutely cannot stand musicals, so forgive me if any (all) of the references within are totally lost on me. But um… I do like rainbows… So I guess all is not lost.
The info card! If it looks like there are way more products listed than included in the box (8), that’s cos it’s true. There are actually 4 different variations of whipped cream listed, but everyone just received one of the scents.
“BFF’s” Whipped Cream – Speaking of whipped cream, here it is! This is actually the one scent I was hoping I didn’t get. All of the other ones screamed autumn and this one has… blueberries. Blueberries and pumpkin. I didn’t think the combo would work, but to my surprise it’s actually pretty nice. I wouldn’t eat a pumpkin pie slathered with blueberries, but I’ll totally rub it on my body. Er, this cream. Not a pie. Ew.
“Roy G. Biv” OCD Hand Sanitizer – Nope, I have no idea who Roy G. Biv is. But I do know what hand sanitizer is and I dig it. I can’t really describe the scent, other than that it’s a pleasant one. The info card lists citrus, florals, lemon, mandarin, cotton blossom and vanilla. That’s a whole lotta scent-age, so I’ll just stick with “it smells nice”.
“There’s No Place Like Home” Fortune Cookie Soap – My photo does NOT do this lil’ guy justice. It’s totally sparkly and shimmering in person. Just like Dorothy’s slippers. (Shoes? Whatever they were. Clearly, I’m not a fan of Wizard of Oz either. Ha.) It’s supposed to have an apple cinnamon scent, but I mostly just smell the cinnamon. It definitely smells like autumn though, so I’ll take it.
“Swankified” Walnut Facial Scrub – I’m pretty loyal to my current face wash, but this stuff smells amazing. It almost reminds me of banana nut bread. Mmmm. The info card does say that you can use it on “all your parts”, so I think I’ll try it as a body wash.
“Miss Popular” Bubble Bath Powder – I love bath products so I was happy to see this. Again, I’m awful at picking up scents, so I’ll just go with what the info card says — This is a blend of “honey nectar, star anise, star jasmine, sweet orange and blushing violet”.
“Hair Flip” Hair Oil (The white bottle) – This oil is formulated to help repair dry, damaged hair. Just 1 to 2 drops is all you need for healthier locks. And yep, it smells good too.
“The Shiz” Perfume Oil (The smaller bottle) – I’m not big on perfumes, but this is pretty much autumn in a bottle. I have no problem dousing myself in autumn-y goodness.
“Flying Monkeys” Personal Space Air Freshener – This smells sweet and banana-y and perfect for livening up the coming stale air of winter.
I’m totally loving my first Fortune Cookie Soap Box! I’m a sucker for seasonal boxes, especially when they involve scented things. Oh, and bath things. Love!!
As mentioned earlier, this fall box is already sold out, but if you sign up now you can start your subscription with the winter box. I’m all about winter/holiday themed boxes, so I can’t wait to see what that one contains!

Maybe!! 😉

You crack me up!!! This box is an ode to Wizard of Oz & Wicked… Roy G Biv is not a person… It’s the colors of the rainbow (red, orange, yellow, etc)! You kill me!!! 😀
Wendy Rose
I figured it was a character from Wicked, since I know NOTHING about that. Apparently there’s a lot of stuff I don’t know… haha
