My Geek Box is a monthly geek/gamer subscription box based out of the UK.
Each box will feature a limited edition t-shirt, along with 4 to 7 other geek-inspired goodies. Items can include collectible figures, books, wearables, mugs, keychains, toys, comics, and more. They also offer a Pop! and a Top box that includes a t-shirt and mystery Funko Pop! vinyl figure, as well as My Geek Box Kids that features more kid-friendly geek & gamer items.
My Geek Box subscriptions are $26.09/month (plus $3.99 shipping), or less with multi-month commitments. — For a limited time, you can get free shipping on your first box. (No coupon needed.)
Let’s see what’s in the June 2016 My Geek Box!
The bright blue “y eek ox” box. 😉
A peek inside. — Like always, there wasn’t any kind of info card/booklet included, so I’ll just jump right to the goods!
Rafael’s Pizzaria T-Shirt – I love t-shirts that are more on the subtle side and don’t make it too obvious what movie/comic/game is being referenced. This tee is a fun homage to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle’s and their love for takeout pizza. I’m not sure if the spelling of pizzeria with an “a” instead of an “e” is a UK thing so I’ll let that go… But I also noticed that the phone number format isn’t true to what a US (NYC) number would be. Again, it’s probably just a UK thing. Still a cool shirt either way. 🙂
Goonies “Hey You Guys!” Sloth Mug – I’ve actually never seen the Goonies all the way through (I know, I know)… Just bits and pieces. That said, I still recognized Sloth when I pulled this mug out of its box. The design features his big ol’ mug in the center of it and “Hey You Guys!” on either side.
Funko Dorbz Marvel Series One Wolverine Figure – Aww. What a cute lil’ Wolverine! This is the second Dorbz figure I received this month and he’s definitely the adorbs-est of the two. 🙂 He stands roughly 3 inches tall and is packaged in a double-sided window display box.
Batman v. Superman Bottle Opener – I couldn’t find this for sale online, but it looks like it’s a licensed DC Comics product. Either way, it should open your bottles with ease.
Marvel Civil War II 0 Variant Edition Comic – At first glance, I thought this was actually an info booklet/mini mag since it wasn’t sealed in plastic. Nope, just a comic that I can’t tell you too much about because I don’t have a mini mag to reference. 😉
Aside from their lack of info cards/booklets, I’m really enjoying My Geek Box. I actually like that their boxes don’t have themes… It makes it feel like even more of a “mystery box” since you have absolutely no clue what you’ll be getting each month. If you’d like to subscribe, remember for a limited time you can get free shipping on your first box. (No coupon needed.)
