July Glossybox time! As usual, I had already seen spoilers for this month’s box, but you never know exactly what variations you’ll get until it arrives. My box was way different from the other reviews I’ve seen so far.
If you’re not aware, Glossybox is a monthly beauty subscription box that sends 5-6 deluxe sized samples packed inside a super sturdy, reusable box. The packaging is top notch and only the highest quality brands are included. Like many of the other beauty subscriptions, you’ll fill out a personal beauty profile when you sign up so that they can send products that best suit your lifestyle, skin type, etc.
Subscriptions are $21/month and shipping is free. They also have a great rewards system where you can earn points for revewing the products you receive in your box. Once you’ve accumulated 1,000 points, you’ll earn a free month.
Alright, let’s check out my July Glossybox!
Like always, the presentation was top-notch.
The tri-fold info pamphlet include photos of every product, descriptions, prices, and even tips on using them.
Laneige Water Sleeping Mask (~$9) – I’m kind of excited to try this… It’s a mask that you apply at night (2 to 3 times a week), after cleansing. It stays on until you rinse it off in the morning to reveal hydrated, glowing skin. Sounds good to me!
Hey Honey I Peel Good! (~$30) – I believe everyone received this product in July’s box. It’s a new exfoliating peel that enhances elasticity and increases moisture retention in the skin. You just massage it over your face for 2-3 minutes until it softens the cream, then proceed for 2-3 minutes more and rinse off. My face has been super dry and blotchy lately, so hopefully this helps even it out.
Naked Lips Organic Lip Balm ($5.50) – A 100% natural, 99% organic lip balm packed with antioxidant-rich oils. I have a gazillion lip balms, so this’ll probably go in the swap pile.
Face Stockholm Eye Pencil (~$9) – Normally I wouldn’t mind getting an eye liner, but white just isn’t gonna work. I get that you can use it to highlight the corner of your eye or whatever (I think?), but I’m just not quite advanced enough for that. The less products in my routine, the better.
Kueshi Anticellulite Booster ($22.60) – This body smoothing cream claims to combat existing cellulite and prevent its formation. I’m a bit leery of products like this, but I suppose it couldn’t hurt to give it a try. At least it’s a nice, full-sized bottle!
I wasn’t wowed by July’s Glossybox when I first opened it, but I think I’m more impressed after actually reviewing it. There’s a few products that I could definitely benefit from, and the lip balm and pencil can be easily swapped. The overall value was great as usual — roughly $76! Nice.
