March 2017 Glossybox review time!
If you’re not aware, Glossybox is a monthly beauty subscription box that sends 5-6 deluxe sized samples packed inside a super sturdy, reusable box. The packaging is top notch and only the highest quality brands are included. Like many of the other beauty subscriptions, you’ll fill out a personal beauty profile when you sign up so that they can send products that best suit your lifestyle, skin type, etc. They also have a great rewards system where you can earn points for reviewing the products you receive in your box. Once you’ve accumulated 1,000 points, you’ll earn a free month.
Disclosure: I received this box for review purposes. I was not compensated in any way. All opinions are my own. Post may contain affiliate and/or referral links.
Subscriptions are $21/month and shipping is free. — For a limited time, you can save 40% off the March box with coupon code “MARCH40” — OR save 25% on any 3 or 6 month subscription with coupon code “WOMANCRUSH“!
Let’s see what’s in my March 2017 Glossybox!
The signature pale pink box.
A peek inside!
The info sheet was more of a poster that unfolded to reveal the contents of March’s box — along with descriptions, retail prices, and tips for each item. It also included variant items that some subscribers received instead of the ones that were in my particular box. (Each month usually includes slight variations in products between boxes.)
Figs & Rouge Avancé + Mattifying Emulsion MT+ Sheer ($15)
This primer/pore refiner can be used alone or as a base for makeup. Its formula is designed to minimize pores, combat breakouts, and reduce shine. To use, simply apply to your T-zone and blend to the outer edges of your face.
Catrice Cosmetics Absolute Rose Eyeshadow Palette 010 ($7)
I’ve been getting a ton of nude/neutral palettes in subscription boxes lately, and while I like the shades above just fine, the one on the very far right is what I’m most interested in trying out. I need some dang boldness for a change! 😉
Tarte Tarteguard 30 Sunscreen Lotion Broad Spectrum SPF 30 ($32)
This non-chemical, vegan-friendly sunscreen helps to protect, moisturize, and re-invigorate your skin for a brighter, more youthful appearance. Key ingredients include red algae, maracuja, soybean oil, and apple extract. To use, apply to clean skin alone or under makeup as needed before sun exposure. It can also be layered with your regular moisturizer for extra hydration.
Mary Kay Timewise Repair Volu-Firm Set (~$45)
I was kind of surprised to see a Mary Kay product in Glossybox. This “deluxe mini set” contains 5 products designed to reduce the look of deep lines & wrinkles, even skin tone, restore moisture, and more. Included were: Lifting Serum, Foaming Cleanser, Eye Renewal Cream, Day Cream Sunscreen, and Night Treatment with Retinol. I’d try these out, but my face is super finicky about what I use on it, so I’d rather not introduce it to 5 new products at once. 😉
Emite Make Up Millesis Active Eye Light Shade 101 ($25)
Millesis Active Eye Light is formulated to reduce the signs of aging and help minimize the appearance of dark circles. It both strengthens the skin and works as a color corrector to achieve a more youthful, healthy appearance. The formula is cruelty free and contains no animal ingredients. 🙂
Incoco Nail Polish Appliqués ($8)
Bonus Product! — These nail appliqués were included as a bonus item and their colorful abstract/floral design is perfect for Spring. They’re made with real nail polish and include a base, color, and top coat in every strip.
A nice, high value month from Glossybox! My favorite items were the eyeshadow palette, nail appliqués (though I’m not sure I can pull them off), and color corrector. As always, the total retail value was great at just over $130! 😀 — Remember, for a limited time you can save 40% off the March box with coupon code “MARCH40” — OR save 25% on any 3 or 6 month subscription with coupon code “WOMANCRUSH“!
