Ipsy is a beauty subscription that sends subscribers a monthly “Glam Bag” full of cosmetics and beauty accessories for just $13/month.
When you sign up, you take a “beauty quiz” to determine your likes/dislikes, makeup preferences, etc. This helps Ipsy learn which products to send in your Glam Bag. Each bag will contain 4-6 full sized and deluxe sample sized products from top cosmetics brands. Products can include makeup, skincare, hair care, nail care, and even beauty tools.
Disclosure: Bag was received for review purposes. Post may contain affiliate links.
Many different brand/product variations are sent each month, so you’ll see that other subscribers may have gotten totally different products than you did. If all goes well, your beauty quiz answers will match you with products that most meet your needs… But honestly, even if you only like one or two of the products, for $13 shipped it’s still a pretty good deal. (Plus, you’ll always get a cute new bag!)
Subscriptions are $13/month with free shipping within the US (only $2.95 extra to Canada).
Let’s see what’s in my April 2022 Ipsy bag!
Everything was shipped in a pink bubble mailer with the Ipsy logo in the center.
A personalized info card listed all of the items I’d find in April’s bag, along with photos, brief descriptions, and retail values for each one.
A peek inside!
The bag itself had serious Spring vibes with its pink and white all over daisy design. It featured a yellow trimmed zipper closure with a coordinating white daisy zipper pull. Cute!
Marc Anthony Strictly Curls Curl Envy Leave-In Conditioner
Both of my daughters have super curly/wavy hair, so we’re always happy to try new products to help tame it. The leave-in conditioner above is designed to add moisture & shine to curly hair, while also helping to minimize frizz & fly-aways. It’s enriched with nourishing ingredients including shea butter, avocado oil & vitamin E and contains zero sulfates, parabens, or phthalates.
Context Skin Tinted Lip Balm in “Back for More”
This cruelty-free tinted lip balm is formulated to repair lips with a conditioning blend of vitamins and natural extracts including candelilla wax, prickly pear extract, watermelon extract, and Vitamins C & E. It has a subtle, rose-colored tint with a sweet scent that I can’t quite pin down.
Maapilim Exfoliating Solution
The liquid exfoliator above is recommended for use once per week as part of your regular skincare routine. It’s formulated with 10% AHA and BHA to correct and revitalize the skin by removing buildup & dead skin cells to leave you with a bright, glowing complexion. It’s especially effective on oily, acne-, or blackhead-prone skin.
Complex Culture Rosy Outlook Eyeshadow Palette
This pretty, travel-friendly little palette from Complex Culture features four berry-inspired shades — two matte and two shimmer. They can be worn alone or layered for endless looks. The long-lasting shades are highly pigmented, cruelty-free, and vegan-friendly.
Dionis Goat Milk Body Lotion in White Jasmine & Shea
As a fan of jasmine, I was excited to see this lotion in my bag… That is, until I realized that it’s made with goat milk. Bummer. 🙁 However, despite not being vegan-friendly it does state that it’s cruelty-free. So that’s something. Still, I’m sad that I can’t personally use it. Ah well.
My April 2022 Ipsy Glam Bag included a nice selection of both skincare and cosmetic products. My personal favorites were the Marc Anthony Strictly Curls Leave-In Conditioner, Context Skin Tinted Lip Balm, and Complex Culture Rosy Outlook Eyeshadow Palette. 🙂
