Welp, the time has come… This is the final Vegan Presence package. They announced a few months back that the subscription would be coming to an end in June, and here we are.
Vegan Presence is was a monthly subscription box service that featured — you guessed it — 100% vegan-friendly products. Items ranged from food to beauty to household essentials. I looked forward to their packages every month and am mega bummed that the fun is over.
That said, I was hoping for an amazing “final package” of goodies, but was kinda underwhelmed. To be honest, I’m actually sorta happy about it though. Softens the blow a bit.
Alright… Let’s have a look at June’s offerings!
Cotton Revival Organic Cotton Dish Towel – I love getting “household goods” in subscription boxes, especially practical ones. This is a tea/dish towel made with 100% organic cotton and eco-friendly water-based inks. I’m used to having much thicker dish towels, so I’m not sure how absorbant this thin lil’ guy is gonna be… I might just do as the info card/letter says and use it to keep fresh baked goods warm. (Retail Price: $16.25)
Fig+Yarrow Oat Milk Tea – Despite its name, this is NOT to be enjoyed in a mug. Rather, in a bath. It’s an herbal bath tea made from oats and various aromatic plants. You just plop it in the tub, saturate it, and squeeze its contents onto your skin while gently exfoliating with the sachet. It helps to nourish dry, itchy & irritated skin. Sachet can be used up to 3 consecutive times. (Retail Price: $14)
Urban Gorilla Coffee Co. Colombian Coffee Sample – I love coffee, but I gotta admit, I’m a lazy coffee person. As in, if it doesn’t come in a K-Cup, I rarely make it. So while these organic, fair trade beans smell amazing, I know they’ll just go into my cupboard with all of the other whole bean coffee samples I’ve gotten from subscription boxes over the past year. Or maybe I’ll dig out my Magic Bullet and grind these up to use in the reusable K-Cup thingy I bought a few months ago and never even opened… We shall see… (Sample Size Price: $2.99)
Lalun Blue Beard Oil/Serum – I don’t have a beard, so I’m not too excited about this one. I mean, my husband DID have a gnarly beard until he shaved it all off a few months ago… But me? Nope. No beard. I guess this can be used to soothe the bikini area after shaving, but… No. No oil on my hoo-ha, thanks. (Retail Price for this Travel Size: $12.50)
While the value of June’s package was really good ($45.74), it just didn’t do it for me. There wasn’t anything that I was overly excited to try, which was kinda disappointing. Although, like I said earlier, it did make the sadness of the subscription’s ending a little easier to bear.
Farewell, Vegan Presence… Like any long-term relationship, you’ve given me some good months and some not-so-good months. Thankfully, the good far outweighed the bad and you will most certainly be missed. XOXOXOX
