It’s a new year and Love With Food wants you to “Live. Laugh. Restore.”. At least that’s what January’s info card says. How those 3 words relates to the actual snacks is anyone’s guess. 😉
If you’re not aware, Love With Food is one of the most affordable subscriptions out there. — It’s only $10/month (plus $2 shipping) for their “Tasting” box (this one). (You can actually try your first Tasting box for FREE!) They also have a “deluxe” box for $19.95/month (free shipping), as well as a 100% Gluten Free version. With every box purchased, Love With Food donates a meal to a person in need. Win, win!
Okay, onto January’s goodies!
Here’s their signature red box. It’s on the smaller side, but they PACK it full of snacks.
Like I said… Live, laugh, and restore. Their “themes” never quite make sense. Eh, whatever, all that matters is the snackage anyway, right? Right.
The info card includes descriptions for each item, as well as a coupon code (VDAY2015 = $5 off any subscription!).
Chocolate Dipped Coconut Luna Bar Mini – I love Luna bars, so I was happy to see this lil’ guy. I used to eat these just about every day when I worked full time. They made for a great afternoon snack. I’ve been all about Clif bars lately (same company), but every now and then I’ll have a Luna too. All of the flavors are vegan and this one is also gluten free.
Big Slice Kettle Cooked Apples – I’ve gotten these in another subscription box not too long ago and I really liked ’em. They’re real, kettle cooked apple slices infused with raspberry, hibiscus, and green coffee extract. Just rip open the pouch, grab a fork, and snack away.
Wai Lana Cassava Pops – A nice alternative to potato chips, these are popped (not fried or baked) and only have 100 calories per bag. They’re also vegan and gluten free.
Bobalu In-Shell Almonds – Not too long ago I was talking to my husband about almonds (we have deep conversations), and about whether or not they come in a shell. No idea how that came up, but it made me laugh to see this bag of almonds complete with shells.
Somersaults – I’ve had these in cinnamon crunch flavor and they were great — sweet ‘n crunchy. Unfortunately, this Santa fe Salsa flavor isn’t vegan and really doesn’t sound too appetizing. Ah well.
Britt Dark Chocolate Covered Cacao Nibs – Tiny cacao nibs dipped in real dark chocolate. These look to be vegan, but I’m not sure about the glazing agent (shellac) — I think it’s sourced from bugs? I’ll have to do a little Googling later.
Stash Breakfast in Paris Black Tea – A black tea with lavender, bergamot, and vanilla. I think I’m one of the few people who actually like getting tea in subscription boxes.
Alter Eco Velvet Truffle – This little truffle is made with organically grown, fair trade chocolate. It’s gluten free, non-GMO, and the wrappers are even compostable. That’s one eco-friendly truffle!
I think this is one of the better Love With Food boxes that I’ve gotten in recent months. There were a lot of vegan-friendly items, which is always a big plus in my book. It felt like a really nice mix of snacks this time — fruit, nuts, chocolates, salty snacks — something for everyone.
If you’d like to sign up for Love With Food, they’re currently offering new members their first box for FREE (just pay $2 shipping)! No promo code needed — just click my link! I heard it also takes $10 off of the deluxe box as well!
