Let’s see what’s in the April 2018 My Fairy Tale Box PLUS!
Everything was shipped in a full-color box with seasonal/holiday images printed along the edges.
A peek inside!
An envelope with my girls’ names on it held a personalized letter from Mother Earth! This “official correspondence” described some of the items included in April’s box, as well as some lesser known holidays celebrated this month — like National Plant Appreciation Day (April 13th), World Pretzel Day (April 26th), and Superhero Day (April 28th).
Additional lesser known national holidays were also printed on calendars for both April & May.
For parents, a separate info sheet listed every single item included in this month’s box.
Sands Alive! The Sand Box
As soon as my kiddos saw this in the box, they HAD to have it! This non-toxic “sand” is moldable, shapeable, and self-adhesive — making it incredibly fun to play with. You can use regular sand molds to make castles, make imprints of household objects & toys, or just watch as it slowly sifts through your hands. It’s resistant to bacterial growth, easy to clean up, and reusable for up to 2 years.
“It’s so squishy!”
So neat!
Sands Alive! Jungle Friends
My Fairy Tale Box even included an accessory set to go along with the sand above! The set includes 6 parts that form together into 3D jungle animals that can stand up on their own. There’s an elephant, a monkey, a lion, and 2 sculpting tools.
Here’s our monkey friend!
Pick Up Snakes
We haven’t opened this game up yet, but it looks like it could be fun. It’s basically “pick up sticks”, but with multi-colored snakes instead of boring ol’ sticks. 😉 The game is played by dumping all of the snakes out and trying to pick one up at a time without moving any of the others.
Blank Cards, Envelopes, and Markers
Five colored cards were included for your child to decorate and give to friends & loved ones. They’re blank (white) inside for your child to write their own personalized message and come with matching envelopes. 3 markers were also included.
Spring Garden Sticker Book
This colorful sticker book is loaded with 308 Spring themed stickers. — Birds, butterflies, frogs, snails, flowers, seeds, gardening tools, ladybugs, snails, and more. These are perfect for decorating the blank cards above.
Creativity for Kids Grow a Little Star
My girls are so excited to grow this little star garden! I tend to kill every plant that enters our home, so I’m a little nervous that it won’t make it very long… We shall see. 😉 This kit comes with everything you need to get started — a star-shaped growing container, chia seeds, potting mix, a decorative foil accent, and full instructions. Such a cute kit to include for Spring!
Earth Mosaics Craft Kit
We’ve gotten a lot of these mosaic kits in a different kid’s subscription and while I could do without the excessive glitter, my girls love completing them. This kit features Mother Earth and is completed by simply placing the self-adhesive glitter dots on the corresponding colored circles. A red string is included for hanging.
Globe Super Bounce Ball
Even though they always get lost shortly after entering our house, my kids are all about bounce balls. This one is designed to look like the earth — complete with a separate layer of clouds floating above it. Very cool!
Noodles — I Love Rainy Days Book
Since both of my girls are in kindergarten, they’re working on learning the same set of words and this book is pretty much right at their current skill level. It’s a simple little story about a dog named Noodles and the creative ways that he entertains himself while stuck inside on a rainy day.
Collectible Pin
A heart-shaped earth pin for your child to wear and proudly show their love for Mother Earth. 🙂
My Fairy Tale Talk Topics for Dinner Conversation Starters
Four 2-sided “talk topics” cards were provided to open up conversation between you and your child(ren) at dinnertime. Topics ranged from the funniest movie you ever watched, to things you would do to improve the world.
Postcard
Prior to receiving our box, we were also sent a postcard from “Louie the Leprechaun”. Subscribers of the “PLUS” box & the Postcard subscription will also receive a new personalized card on a weekly basis.
Another jam-packed My Fairy Tale Box loaded with plenty of seasonally appropriate fun! I was happy to see a few more “larger” items this time, as well as the inclusion of a book and the new talk topics cards. My girls couldn’t wait to explore everything in this month’s box and are already looking forward to seeing what goodies will be arriving for them in May! 🙂 — Remember, for a limited time (thru 3/25 — cut-off for next month’s box) you can save 25% on your first order with coupon code “2LR25“!
