Since I review so many different subscription boxes throughout the year, I thought it would be fun to compile a monthly round-up of my top 5 subscription boxes to highlight the best of the best.
The boxes will be chosen based on how awesome they were for that particular month, so hopefully the “winners” will vary a lot from month to month. I’ll take into account my star ratings, but a 5-star review won’t always mean the box will make it to the top 5. Basically, if I loved the contents/curation and/or it had a crazy high overall value, it’ll make the list. 🙂
So here they are, in no particular order…
My Top 5 Subscription Boxes of January 2016!
This is quickly becoming one of my favorite snack subscriptions and January’s box pushed it a little closer to the top. It was packed full of deliciously healthy snacks with plenty of vegan-friendly options!

My Pretend Place ($50/quarter)
My Pretend Place sends super fun themed dress-up kits and related items for kids 3 and up. They’ve recently offered subscribers the option of choosing which themes they’d like, which is great. For January, we chose the Chef themed box which was our favorite one yet! It included a full chef costume, a Melissa & Doug felt pizza set, a book about a donut chef, and a food-themed sticker book set. So fun!
If you’d like to sign up for the My Pretend Place Dress Up box, they’re offering new customers 20% off their first box! Just use coupon code “playtime” at checkout.
GlobeIn sends you a selection of artisan goods based on a new theme each month. January’s theme was “Bathe” and included a pretty Turkish bath towel and hand towel, as well as awesomely scented lemongrass citrus bar soap and body lotion. This is one of my favorite boxes they’ve sent and I LOVE the towel colors I received. So pretty!
If you’d like to sign up for the GlobeIn Artisan box, you can save 25% on your first month with any 3-month or longer subscription with coupon code “WELCOME“.
POPSUGAR Must Have Box ($39.95/month)
I have a feeling POPSUGAR Must Have is going to appear on this list quite often. 😉 The overall value is always crazy high, though some months impress me more than others product-wise. I thought January’s box was great. — It featured a new book from Marie Kondo, a $40 canvas storage bin (my favorite item in the box), a handy planner, a collection of body wash, and more! Total value of over $120.
If you’d like to check out POPSUGAR Must Have for yourself, you can save $5 on your first box when you use coupon code “MUSTHAVE5” at checkout.
Koala Crate ($19.95/month)
This box was a lot of fun for my kiddos! January’s box was arctic themed and featured a polar bear dress up kit, a snowball craft/toss game, and a sparkly snowflake stamp & DIY wrapping paper project. Keeping two 3-year-olds on task with minimal fighting is a challenge, but this box was a total success.
If you’d like to sign up for Koala Crate, you can save 40% with my exclusive coupon code “ROSEBUDS40″ (good on Kiwi Crate, Doodle Crate, and Tinker Crate too!).
So there you have it! My favorite subscription boxes of January 2016. How did I do? What other boxes would you have added? Feel free to let me know in the comments! 🙂
