Orange Glad is a new subscription box launched last month that specializes in baked goods and sweet treats. They select popular items from various bakeries around the country and pack them all together to be delivered right to your door. Boxes start at $15/month plus shipping. Not a bad deal for a box full of yummers.
Unfortunately for me, none of the items in the August box were vegan. However, I fully expected this to be the case, so I wasn’t too bummed. My family was more than happy to take the treats off my hands.
Okay, onto the baked goods!
Gianna’s Homemade Baked Goods Lemon Frosted Sugar Cookies – These looked really good and judging by how fast my husband devoured them, I’d say that they were. I asked him what he thought of ’em and he said “They were okay. The frosting was good”. He’s not one to complement anything, so I’m taking his response as a very positive reaction. Plus, the whole “devoured them in 60 seconds” thing kinda said it all.
Popcornopolis Gourmet Popcorn – I’ve never heard of this brand, but apparently it’s pretty popular among popcorn fans. It comes in a variety of unique flavors (like “cupcake” & “strawberries n’ cream”) and is famous for their fun, cone-shaped packaging.
Hottie Biscotti Pineapple Coconut Biscotti – I’ve been on a serious coconut kick lately, so I was kinda sad that I couldn’t eat this. It features a pineapple cookie covered in white chocolate and sprinkled with fresh coconut. Yum!
The Crispery Crispy Cakes Chocolate Sprinkles Crispycake – This is basically a big ol’ rice krispie treat topped with a layer of chocolate sprinkles. These are handmade daily and can be customized for any occasion.
I Live for Dessert Chocolate Cake Bites – I have no idea what these looked like, since I sent them home with my mom, never to hear of them again. According to the info card, they’re balls of moist chocolate cake, filled with chocolate chips & cocoa and dusted with cocoa powder. Sounds good — shame they had to hide all that goodness inside this foil package.
This was a “bonus item”. Since I don’t use honey, I think I’ll just save this for the girls to play with once they’re over the whole “put everything in my mouth” stage. This is sure to come in handy for their upcoming “beat my sister with a honey dipper” stage.
And there it is. The August Orange Glad box. Like what you see? Want your own box of baked goods ‘n such? You can use my code “ROSEBUDS5” for 5% off your first box. 🙂
