October SnackSack time! (This month’s box was super Halloween-y and I loved it!)
If you haven’t heard, SnackSack is a relatively new subscription box that focuses on delivering natural, “junk-free” snacks to your door every month. All of the snacks included will be free of “artificial junk” and offer a mixture of all natural, vegan, organic, non-GMO, gluten-free, and fair trade products. They’ll all be tucked inside a reusable burlap sack, which is shipped in a large box for ultimate snack protection.
Subscriptions are $23/month with free shipping. Discounts are also available for multi-month plans. (There’s also one at the end of this post!)
Let’s see what’s in the October 2015 SnackSack!
More Halloweeeen! I love that they included silly little trinkets… I also love that the tiny bat ring fits on my ring finger and I’m totally going to rock it on Halloween night. 😉
The information card listed everything inside, along with a brief description. There are also little symbols next to each one indicating whether it’s vegan, gluten-free, and/or non-GMO.
Yumbitz Soft Baked Mini Chocolate Chip Cookies – These mini cookies are made with all natural ingredients and look absolutely delicious. Super sad that they’re not vegan-friendly. Good news for my cookie-loving toddlers though!
Skout Black Pepper BBQ Raw Pumpkin Seeds – An appropriate addition to an October box! These seeds are organic, non-GMO, vegan, and gluten-free. I’m usually not a big fan of pumpkin seeds, but bbq flavored ones sound mighty tasty.
Live Love Pop Lime Fresco Popcorn – First, this bag was HUGE. Second, the popcorn inside was amazing. Although it contained just 3 ingredients — popcorn, sunflower oil, and lime fresco sea salt — it was super addicting and I almost ate the entire bag in one sitting. Since I didn’t, I loved that the bag was resealable. Such a simple packaging feature, yet lacking on so many snacks. Kudos to you, Live Love Pop! 😉
Surf Sweets Spooky Spiders – How cute! — Little gummy spiders made with real organic fruit juice. Sadly (for me anyway), they contain gelatin so I won’t be able to try ’em. Boo. (Boo! even.)
Jackson’s Honest Sweet Potato Chips – These all natural sweet potato chips are slow cooked in small batches using coconut oil. I’m almost certain that I’ve had them before and equally as certain that they were pretty darn tasty.
KIND Maple Pumpkin Seed Bar – I love KIND bars (the vegan ones anyway), and this flavor is one of my favorites. It’s packed with lots of good-for-you ingredients including pumpkin seeds, oats, millet, quinoa, buckwheat, and amaranth.
Glee Gum Lollipops – I’m personally not a fan of Glee gum (the flavor disappears after like 3 seconds), but I’m willing to give these lollipops a try. Hell, I can always toss it out once I get to the gum inside. 😉
Torie & Howard Hard Candies – These little hard candies have been in a lot of subscription boxes over the last year or so. They come in a nice variety of flavors and are made with no corn syrup, artificial flavors, colors, or additives.
Goodie Girl Midnight Brownie Cookies – Bite sized, gluten free brownie-like cookies made with chunks of Belgian chocolate. My kids are gonna love these!
Taos Mountain Toasted Coconut Energy Bar – I’m usually super into bars like this, but to my surprise I found this one WAY too sweet. I don’t know if it was the coconut sugar that did it, but yikes… so, so sweet.
Raw Rev Dark Chocolate Cashew & Mint Bar – I’ve had Raw Rev bars before and I enjoyed ’em… This flavor is new to me, but I’m a big fan of chocolate and mint, so I’m sure this’ll be good.
Smarty Pants Gummy Vitamins – If I had a nickel for every box that have featured these gummies… I’d have… A nice handful of change. 😉
Halloweeeeeen!! – Yes, I’ve included a photo of all the fun Halloween trinkets in the box. 😉 I love holidays and totally appreciate SnackSack’s festive-ness.
I think this was my favorite SnackSack yet! The huge bag of popcorn was incredible and it was just an all around great box. I wish all subscription boxes made their October offerings this much fun to open! 😀Browse more Food & Beverage Boxes in my Subscription Box Directory
