Subscript Decor is a fairly new subscription box that specializes in home decor items. I love getting practical items — especially home goods — in boxes, so I was excited when they agreed to send me their February offering for review.
Subscript Decor hand selects anywhere from 1 to 7 unique items to include in each month’s box. Each collection will have a different theme and promises a total value of $65 to $100+. Many of the products are from independent artists and smaller businesses, which makes it likely that you’ll receive a few one of a kind items from brands you’ve yet to discover.
Subscriptions are $53/month and shipping is free.
Let’s see what’s in February’s Subscript Decor box!
The box was heavy and large… I couldn’t wait to see what was inside!
First look. Oooh! — A Valentine’s Day theme!
The info card was simple and to the point. Or should I say “minimalist”? 😉
Wooden Heart Ornament – I’m assuming this is just a festive bonus item, as it wasn’t on the info card. It’s a simple, stained wood heart with an attached cord for hanging. I’ve totally slacked on decorating this year, so this is definitely getting hung somewhere ASAP!
Subscript Decor Ombre Mango Wood Serving Plate ($28.50) – I love the ombre coloring on this plate. I didn’t when I first opened the box, but it totally grew on me. This serving plate/tray is made from mango wood and is a pretty good size (you can see it better in the leading photo). We like to have bread bowls & dip at our family get-togethers and this will be perfect to serve it on. Yay!
Subscript Decor Set of Love Mugs ($25) – A great pair of mugs for Valentine’s Day! Both are hand painted, with one reading “Always xoxo” and the other “Forever xoxo”. They’re microwave safe, but it’s recommended that you hand wash to preserve the paint. Cute, yet totally practical too!
Rangemark Coasters ($10.50) – This is a set of two coasters made from organic, hand printed linen. They have a hemp/cotton blend backing and are said to be very absorbent. I thought $10.50 seemed a bit pricey for two coasters, but the Rangemark Etsy shop sells them in sets of 4 for $21, so it’s definitely accurate. Pricey, but accurate.
Vayas Homegrown Mood Spray (Devoted) ($11) – An all natural, handmade mood spray that can be used to give a light fragrance to linens, your surroundings, or even to yourself. The blend of citrus, wood, and floral aromas are said to evoke the feelings of love and devotion. Awww.
I think Subscript Decor did a great job curating this box. I love that it had a subtle Valentine’s Day theme and how all of the items can almost be used with one another, at the same time. (Does that make sense?) The tray can hold the cups that can rest on the coasters that can sit in a room scented with the room spray. See? Brilliant! Oh, and the total value of everything comes to $75. Not bad!
