Taste Guru is a monthly subscription box dedicated to the gluten-free lifestyle. While I don’t personally follow a gluten-free diet, I do enjoy a good snack box.
Taste Guru provides 6 to 9 totally gluten-free goodies in each of their monthly boxes. Items can include snacks, baking mixes, granola, condiments, and more. They also like to include one or two non-food items as well as a chef-inspired recipe (gluten-free, of course!).
Subscriptions are $19/month plus shipping ($24 total), or less with multi-month commitments. They also offer surprise bonus items for the 6- and 12-month plans. Everyone who uses my link at the end of this post will receive a FREE tote bag with any subscription!
Let’s see what’s in February’s box!
This month’s box was a bright eggplant purple color (last month it was red).
The info card listed all of the products, along with photos and short descriptions of each one. On the back of the card was a recipe for gluten-free brownies.
The box was packed full o’ snackage!
Better Batter Fudge Brownie Mix – Can’t go wrong with brownies! This is a gluten-free, allergy-free baking mix with directions for both traditional and vegan brownies. It’s a pretty heavy box (20 ounces!) that results in a 9×13 pan of chocolatey goodness.
Dang Toasted Coconut Chips – I love Dang chips! They’re tasty, all natural snacks that consist of just coconut, cane sugar, and salt. Yum!
Mamma Chia Blackberry Bliss Chia Squeeze – I’ve had this before and wasn’t really a fan. The flavor was fine, but the texture takes some getting used to. It’s packed with lots of good-for-you ingredients, including chia seeds — which make for a very interesting texture.
Level Life Protein Snack Bar in Caramel Chocolate Peanut – This gluten-free line of snack bars are designed for both diabetics and those just trying to lose weight. They’re high protein, low in carbs, and contain glucose gels to efficiently raise low blood sugar.
Teas’ Tea Unsweetened Jasmine Green Tea – An unsweetened tea made with only purified water, jasmine green tea, and vitamin C. It’s pure tea with zero calories.
YumEarth Naturals Sour Beans – These have been everywhere lately! I guess it’s good timing, since Easter is already less than a month away (how’d that happen!?). These beans are made with natural flavors and colors, are gluten-free, and contain no gelatin. They’re also quite tasty.
IPS Egg White Chips – These chips are made with egg whites, giving them an impressive 6 grams of protein per serving. They have half the fat of regular fried chips, are gluten-free, and made with non-GMO corn.
Swoffle Traditional Dutch Treat – A caramel-filled traditional Dutch waffle cookie made with gluten-free organic flours.
Nocciolata Organic Hazelnut Spread – An organic hazelnut & cocoa spread made with high quality, non-GMO ingredients.
Taste Guru Tote – This reusable tote is included as a free bonus when you use my link to subscribe (see below)!
February’s Taste Guru box had a nice mix of familiar favorites and a few new-to-me brands. I did notice that I was missing an item (Ass Kickin’ Honey Roasted Peanuts), but no biggie. It was still a pretty full box, peanuts or no peanuts.

Thank you for doing a review on this box. I am gluten free and live in a very rural area where there is very little options for gluten free. It is great to see all different types gluten free options out there.

There are quite a few gluten-free boxes out there now. Definitely a convenient way to try new GF products — especially if you can’t find many in your area. 🙂
