October Bramble Box time! — This month’s theme is “Wizards”!
If you’re not aware, Bramble Box is a fun subscription box for children aged 4 through 8 years old. Unlike many kid’s boxes which tend to focus on crafts and toys, Bramble Box encourages learning through open-ended pretend play.
Every Bramble Box is focused on a different theme and contains materials for hours & hours of free play fun. Boxes are gender neutral and can include such themes as detective, post office, bakery, and more. The materials are intended to help your child use their imagination, express themselves, improve reading and math skills, learn about the world around them, and overall, have FUN.
Bramble Boxes are available for purchase as single boxes, on a month-to-month basis, and as multi-month subscriptions. The monthly and one-time boxes are $25, while multi-month commitments are as low as $23/month. (Right now you can save 30% on your first month with coupon code “Fallishere30“!)
Let’s see what’s inside the October 2015 Bramble Box!
A look inside. — I love that the lil’ fox is sporting a wizard hat. 😉 Oh, and the glow-in-the-dark bat dude is cool too!
This month’s wizard themed box included fun dress-up items to decorate and a few STEM-based projects to complete.
A “Wizard’s Activity Book” included all of the projects and experiments, along with full instructions on how to complete them. Additional experiments not shown above were also included on the last couple pages of the booklet.
Materials were included to make a wizard’s wand, cape, and hat. Plenty of colorful self-adhesive felt stars were provided to decorate everything.
Stickin’ stars onto the cape.
My lil’ wizard!
Chloe doesn’t look too thrilled with the wand here (more like confused by it), but she’s been playing with the thing constantly since they made it. And yes, there’s been more than one tug o’ war over it. 😉
Two test tubes, fizzing color tablets, and gel crystals were included for the experiments.
One of the experiments involved pouring water into a test tube, followed by a color tablet, and then some magic gel crystals. I won’t spoil the “magic”, but the girls were super into watching what happened.
One kid is clearly enjoying the magic more than the other. 😉
This month’s Bramble Box was really fun! The wizard accessories were easy to assemble/decorate and they looked adorable on my surprisingly willing 3-year-old. The “experiments” were also a nice addition and I like how they incorporated a little science into the box. A fun month!
If you’d like to sign up, Bramble Box is currently offering new customers 30% off their first box or a single play box from their shop! Just use coupon code “Fallishere30” at checkout.
