Let’s see what’s in the November 2015 CardBox!
Everything was shipped in a pale blue box with the CardBox logo on top.
A peek inside.
An info card gave some background on the two different card companies that were featured for November and described each of the cards that were included.
The first set are from Sweet Peony Press, who create their designs using a combination of refined typography and vintage illustrations.
Merry Shortbread Card – “Merry Shortbread and Happy Egg Nog!” This card is letterpress printed on soft cotton paper with bold black ink. A quirky holiday card that works for just about any recipient.
Kiss for Santa Card – I love this one! It features a vintage-style drawing of Santa receiving a kiss on the cheek from a little girl next to a wheeled kitty toy. The subtle coloring on the card was actually hand-painted with watercolors to give it a vintage warmth. Love it!
Blitzen Card – A holiday card with a bit of a “masculine” feel to it. This depicts one of Santa’s trusty reindeer, Blitzen. As with the Santa card, this one was hand-painted with watercolors to give it a warmer vibe.
Faceted Heart Card – An everyday card with a simple faceted heart design. Perfect for sending to someone you love. Great for Valentine’s Day too!
I Love You Card – Another nice choice for Valentine’s Day. This card features a peacock(?) design printed with gold ink.
The second set of cards are from Made in Brockton Village and feature prints of original gouache paintings, along with drink recipes on the back.
Mulled Wine Holiday Drink Recipe Card – “Hot Wine, Warm Wishes!” A fun card for the holiday season. The back features a recipe for mulled wine. I’ve already used it in a gift for a wine-loving family member. 😉
Eggnog Holiday Drink Recipe Card – “Nog, Nog. Who’s there? — Christmas!” Another cute card featuring that classic holiday beverage, egg nog.
Old Fashioned Holiday Drink Recipe Card – “Wishing you an Old Fashioned Christmas!” The third and final glass of holiday cheer!
Bonus! – Also included were a set of 8 gift tags from Sweet Peony Press for a variety of different occasions. 8 pieces of twine were also provided.
The November CardBox by Sendiment was a great box to receive before the holidays! They included a nice selection of cards for the holiday season, as well as a couple to use for more “general” occasions. The designs were fun and the quality top-notch. Overall, a fun, useful box!
