May 2017 Fit Snack unboxing time!
If you’re new to them, Fit Snack is a snack subscription box that’s curated to include items that are both well balanced and nutrient dense. When selecting products to include in the box, they use the Fit Snack “Perfect 10″. Put simply, they look for snacks that fall into one or more of these categories: Nutrient Dense (high in protein, complex carbs, low sugar index), Consciously Made (GMO free, organic production, sustainably farmed), and Diversified Energy (gluten free, clean eating, paleo, raw).
Disclosure: I received this box for review purposes. I was not compensated in any way. All opinions are my own. Post may contain affiliate and/or referral links.
Each box will contain 6 to 9 healthy (yet satisfying) items that have total retail value of at least $30. While most of the items fall into the “snack” category, they also send cooking mixes, supplements, beverages, and more.
Subscriptions are $24/month (shipping included), or less with longer, multi-month commitments. It also looks like they ship worldwide. If you join Fit Snack using my link, you’ll save $3 on your first box!
Let’s see what’s in the May 2017 Fit Snack box!
The familiar white & turquoise box was shipped via Priority Mail.
A peek inside!
An info card listed all of the snacks, as well as accompanying photos, short descriptions, and a few discount codes.
Purely Inspired French Vanilla Organic Protein
I’m always happy to see these vegan-friendly protein powder packets. I drink smoothies everyday and these make a great addition. They’re gluten-free, non-GMO, and have an impressive 20 grams of plant-based protein per serving.
Fawen Drinkable Soup
A ready-to-drink soup made with gently cooked whole, organic vegetables and blended smooth with coconut milk. One bottle contains more than a full serving of vegetables with no added sweeteners or artificial preservatives. It’s gluten-free, non-GMO, and vegan-friendly.
Bite Fuel Blue Mango Protein Granola Trail Mix
A high protein (10 grams per serving) granola trail mix made with oats, almonds, coconut, dried blueberries, dried mango, and other natural ingredients. It’s free of soy, corn syrup, GMOs, trans fats, preservatives, and gluten.
Peanut Butter & Co. Powdered Peanut Butter
This vanilla flavored powdered peanut butter has 90% less fat than traditional peanut butter, only 1 gram of fat, and 5 grams of protein. I love blending this stuff into my smoothies. Yum!
Foods Alive Lemon Chia-Crunch Power Crackers
These “power crackers” are made with nutrient-rich ingredients including almonds, walnuts, flax seed, sunflower seeds, and reishi mushroom powder. Each serving provides 3 grams of protein, 4 grams of fiber, and 2.25 grams of plant-based omega 3’s. They’re also raw, vegan, and gluten-free.
Rise Buddy BBQ Flavor Baked Rice Snacks
These have been in a TON of snack subscription boxes lately. They’re gluten-free baked rice snacks made with rice bran oil and other natural ingredients. I’m kind of sick of seeing them so often, but I’ve never tried this BBQ flavor, so I guess that’s cool.
Fruit Bliss Organic Turkish Mini Figs
Juicy, organic whole fruit figs, sun dried and infused with a touch of water. These contain no added sugar or sulfur and are non-GMO, vegan, and gluten-free.
May’s Fit Snack box definitely had a nice variety of snacks, but I felt like it was a little lacking. A couple more items would have filled it out nicely. Other than that, I was happy. 🙂 — If you’d like to try Fit Snack out for yourself, they’ve kindly given me a special discount to share with my readers.
