Let’s see what’s in the Spring 2016 Mary’s Secret Ingredients box!
The box! I actually didn’t notice that blurb about calling (844) MARYS BOX until after opening it up. (Oops!) I still haven’t called because… well I just haven’t. 😉 I believe it may have something to do with their new members only golden ticket giveaway where 10 winners got a Joseph Joseph Elevate knife. I’m not an actual member, so… No knife for me!
A peek inside. As always, the info cards were neatly tucked into a pocket created with tissue paper and sealed with a sticker.
A “Little Book of Ingredients” pamphlet listed all of the items, as well as detailed information about each one.
Just Jan’s Tangerine Marmalade – Created as a unique twist on traditional orange marmalade, this spread features sweet & tangy tangerines. It’s made with all natural ingredients and is lower in sugar that other marmalades. It’s both vegan and gluten-free. I’ll definitely be trying this on some toast!
Joseph Joseph Rocker Stainless Steel Garlic Crusher – I’ve always minced/crushed garlic the conventional (smelly) way — with a plain ol’ knife. I honestly never thought of buying a dedicated tool for the job. That said, this stainless steel crusher is a welcome addition to my kitchen arsenal. Just rock it over a garlic clove, scrape the pieces into the pan, pop it in the dishwasher, and you’re golden. Plus no stinky hands!
Sir Kensington’s Dijonnaise – An all natural dijon mayo spread made with non-GMO ingredients including sunflower oil, free range egg yolks, mustard seed, and organic sugar. It’s both soy and gluten free.
Savory Choice Authentic Veggie Pho Liquid Broth Concentrate – Each pouch of this Pho broth concentrate is reconstituted with 2 cups of hot water. It can be used as a soup base, marinade or add to rice and noodle dishes for a dash of Asian flavor.
100 Cups a Day Special Edition Tea Cup – 100 Cups A Day is an organization dedicated to the physical and spiritual well-being of water, founded by sculptor and ceramic artist Natalie Blake. Each of her cups are hand-thrown in porcelain with all proceeds going to Caminos de Agua – an organization working to innovate and implement open source solutions to sustainable, safe, clean drinking water in the state of Guanajuato, Mexico and globally. For this spring box, Natalie has crafted a special edition symbolic cup. “The simplest vessel gifting the simplest need. Drink 100 cups of water and become aware of water in your life.”
The Tea Spot Meditative Mind Sachets – A signature blend of white tea with overtones of jasmine and rosebud. Jasmine is one of my favorite flavors of tea so I was happy to see this blend in the box. 3 sachets are included.
The Spring 2016 Mary’s Secret Ingredients box featured a nice variety of products. My favorite item is probably the Joseph Joseph garlic crusher, with the tea trailing close behind. I’m also looking forward to trying the tangerine marmalade. Yum!
