Splendies is a newish subscription “box” for undies! For only $12 per month, you’ll get 3 pairs of underwear in whichever size you choose. The catch is, you don’t get to choose the style. They send you 3 randomly selected undies that can vary by brand, color, style, etc. The only thing you’ll know for sure is the size. Mystery undies! [read more…]
*As of December 2015, Citrus Lane is no longer in business. If you’re looking for an alternative, bluum is a great choice. — You can see my reviews of them here. With bluum, you can choose your own products and build your own box. They feature the same great brands, plus you can save $10 on your first month with coupon code “MRVA286CCE“.*
Once again Citrus Lane teased me with their early shipping. My box departed on the 13th, yet still didn’t make it to me until the 21st. SO slow! Thankfully, I was pretty happy with the contents, so I’ll forgive the Pony Express-like shipping time.
Citrus Lane is a subscription box for babies/kids 0-5 and can include anything from toys, to books, to toiletries, and everything in between. Boxes are $25/month, but you can save $10 on your first month when you click this link. Curious about past boxes? Read my previous months’ reviews here.
My box this month was geared towards a 13-month old girl. Let’s see what’s inside! [read more…]
MakrBox is a new subscription service that delivers useful, handmade products to your door every month. They promise to provide 100% artisan goods that are “durable, sustainable & useful.”
Each month will feature 2-3 household products created by “makers” (real people who create handcrafted goods with a purpose), craftsmen, and designers. [read more…]
Tasty Bite recently contacted me to see if I would be interested in reviewing some of their ready-to-eat meals. I’ll be honest, I was a little skeptical of the whole “meal in a pouch” thing, but I was curious, so I accepted their offer. (I’m glad I did!)
Tasty Bite specialize in both Indian and Pan-Asian dishes, many of which are vegan or vegetarian. (They also offer gluten-free and kosher options.) The meals are fully cooked and sealed in multi-layered pouches that keep it fresh for up to 18 months. They’re perfect for taking to work, on a camping trip, or just for making a quick meal at home. (That last option works for me.) [read more…]
It’s Conscious Box time again! A couple weeks ago I reviewed the Summer Mystery Box… That one was a “bonus” that you could purchase separately, in addition to your normal subscription. This one is the “regular” August (vegan) box. There’s also another “bonus” box that’s shipping in early September called the “1% Box”. I believe that one’s still for sale. But yeah, this is the normal August one. (Confused yet?)
Alrighty, let’s see what’s in my August box!
This is my second Love With Food box and the theme this month is “Backyard BBQ”. Thankfully, despite the not-so-vegan theme, there were quite a few vegan-friendly items in the box. Yippee!
Each box is only $10/month (plus $2 shipping). There’s also a code available to get your first box FREE (I’ll share that with you at the end of the review… Be patient!). As always, with each box you purchase, Love With Food donates a meal to a person in need. Gotta love that!
So let’s see what I got this time around… [read more…]
Orange Glad is a new subscription box launched last month that specializes in baked goods and sweet treats. They select popular items from various bakeries around the country and pack them all together to be delivered right to your door. Boxes start at $15/month plus shipping. Not a bad deal for a box full of yummers.
Unfortunately for me, none of the items in the August box were vegan. However, I fully expected this to be the case, so I wasn’t too bummed. My family was more than happy to take the treats off my hands.
Okay, onto the baked goods! [read more…]
Our Local Box is a fun subscription service that sends you the best of Kentucky every month. Items can range from food/snacks, beauty products, things for the home, and even Kentucky-themed t-shirts.
I was excited when Our Local Box agreed to send me a box for review, but even more so when I found out that the theme for August was “Vegan Treats from Kentucky”. Um, talk about good timing! (Serendipity? Yeah, we’ll go with serendipity.)
Okay, let’s see what vegan goodness Kentuckians have to offer… [read more…]
I’m super excited about this giveaway because it involves one of my truest loves — cookies! Vegan cookies! Woo!!
I had gotten word of Om Nom Nom Cookies via a giveaway on another blog a few months ago. They looked AMAZING, so I prayed to the Rafflecopter gods that I’d win. Sadly, I did not. So I’m sure you can imagine how psyched I was when they agreed to send me some samples AND let me do a giveaway of my own. So, so psyched!
Om Nom Nom cookies are 100% vegan and 110% awesome. I kid you not. These cookies are that good. [read more…]
I was pleasantly surprised to see the August Taste Trunk on my doorstep today. They don’t send tracking numbers, so it just kinda shows up when it wants. Which is sorta nice, since I don’t have to obsessively refresh any tracking pages. 😉
As with last month, I ordered the “Health Trunk”. There are 4 different themed boxes (“trunks”) to choose from: “Sweet Trunk”, “Gourmet Trunk”, and “BBQ Trunk”. Can’t decide which one you want? They have an option on their website to switch trunks whenever you want. You can change it every month if that’s the way you roll. Personally, I always stick with the Health one, since I assume I’ll have a better chance at getting vegan items in the box. (So far, so good.) [read more…]
Okay, so there’s no clowns here (and there never will be — those things are creepy as hell). Figured I should get that outta the way, lest I disappoint any clown lovers out there.
Ahem, moving on…
This has been one of the suckiest “good mail” weeks in a long time. How sucky was it, you ask? Sooo sucky that I seriously got nothing but junk mail all damn week. Oh, and bills (the only thing worse than junk mail). Not one box, package, free shampoo sample… Nada. Sad, right? Keep me in your thoughts.

BOXES/PRODUCTS REVIEWED THIS WEEK
Conscious Box – This was a special “bonus” Summer Mystery Box. I love mystery boxes! This was no exception.
Earnest Eats – I was sent their new Hot & Fit cereal to try. It’s all natural and totally vegan. Don’t forget to enter the giveaway!
Munchit – A weekly snack box with lots of healthy snackin’ options. I’m giving away a free box to TWO lucky winners!
Two words: Vegan. Cookies. Stay tuned!!
The winner of the 8×10 canvas print from Easy Canvas Prints is… Lianne Thompson! Congrats!
The girls had their twelve month checkup this week. Everything was great, except that the doctor wants them to go to a feeding clinic. They still don’t quite enjoy the whole “solids” thing, nor do they want any part of holding their own bottles. And sippy cups? Pfft. So yeah, I guess they need some… intervention. Anyone have any experience with this sorta thing? Or are my kiddos just little divas who think they’re too posh to chew?

Munchit is a new-ish subscription service for your healthy snackin’ needs. But unlike most subs, this one comes weekly. No waiting all month for your box to show up! You get one every. dang. week. Oh, and it’s totally affordable too! (Less than $4/box!)
Each Munchit contains one 2-serving container of snack mix, one all-natural treat, a mini pack of natural chewing gum, and a tea bag (for hot or iced tea). You simply select all of the snack mixes and treats that you’d like to try and they use your selections to build your box. You won’t know what you’ll get each week, but you WILL know that it’ll be chosen from the options you indicated. Disappointment-free surprises! Yay!
I recently got to try out a Munchit box for myself and it was exactly as described: A cute little box of healthy snacks delivered right to my door at a very reasonable price. Let’s take a look! [read more…]
I was recently contacted by Earnest Eats after they found a review I did of one of their baked whole food bars (so good!). They wanted to know if I’d be interested in reviewing their new Hot & Fit Cereal line. Since I was already a fan of their yum-tastic food bars, I gladly accepted the offer.
Earnest Eats prides itself on only using high quality, all natural whole foods in each of their products. They’re not down with artificial anything! You can be sure that you’re not gonna find any crazypants ingredients that you can’t pronounce in any of their offerings. Well, except maybe “korintje cinnamon”. That one’s a little tough. 😉 [read more…]
Conscious Box recently announced a special Summer Mystery Box packed full of eco-friendly goodies. They’ve offered these in the past and they were awesome, so I wasted no time ordering one this time around… Besides, who doesn’t love a good mystery box? (Wackos, that’s who!)
Alright, let’s dive right in and see what I got! [read more…]
