If you’re new here, POPSUGAR Must Have is a monthly lifestyle subscription box that’s curated with a fun variety of “on trend” products curated by the POPSUGAR team. Items can range from food, beauty, household, fashion, fitness gear and everything in between. Unlike a lot of other subscription boxes, everything in this box is full sized. No foil packets in this bad boy.
Monthly boxes are $39.95 and there’s almost always a discount code available (I’ve included one at the end of this post!). With most boxes having values of $100+, it’s a GREAT deal!
Okay, let’s see what’s in the April POPSUGAR Must Have box!
The inspiration for April’s box centered around “spring showers, farmers market, outdoor fun, fresh produce, and simplicity”. Works for me!
As always, the info card included photos, descriptions, and retail values for each item. I was surprised to see only 5 items listed this month, but thankfully I like ’em ALL (for once).
Dabney Lee Dottie Umbrella ($18) – The info card lists this at $20, but the Dabney Lee site has it for $18, so I went with that. Price discrepancy aside, I LOVE this! Seriously. The only umbrellas we have in our house are cheapo dollar store ones that turn inside out with the slightest gust of wind. This one is not only cute, but it also has an auto open and close feature. That’s kind of a big deal when you’re used to dollar store umbrellas. 😉
Potting Shed Creations Garden-in-a-Bag Basil ($10) – While I completely fail at keeping most plants alive for more than a couple weeks (sometimes less), I’m kinda excited to try growing this “basil in a bag”. Everything you need is included right inside — organic seed, growing medium, coconut husks for drainage, and instructions.
Produce Candles Rhubarb Spring Candle ($20) – I’ve never actually tasted (or smelled) rhubarb, so when I saw this listed in the spoilers I didn’t have high hopes. Now that I’ve gotten a chance to smell it for myself… I need me some rhubarb!! If it tastes anything near what this candle smells like, I’m definitely a fan. Oh, and the candle is made with natural soy wax and it looks like it ships for free through April!
One Love Organics Gardenia & Tea Antioxidant Body Serum ($39) – I’ve never heard of a body serum, but I’m willing to give this a try. You simply mist it onto your skin post-shower/bath to reap the benefits of it’s 100% natural ingredients. The formula is easily absorbed, smells awesome, and is cruelty-free.
Flip & Tumble 24/7 Bag ($12) – I really don’t need any more bags/totes, but this one is pretty neat. It’s designed to be balled up into a compact little… um… ball for ultimate on-the-go portability. It’s made of ripstop nylon and can carry up to 35 pounds. It also has a felt patch on the handle to help keep it on your shoulder. I doubted that I could successfully get the bag back into a ball on my first try, but it was totally easy. (Yay!)
There was also a $25 gift card for Mott 50, but I didn’t even see it in my box until I noticed it on the info card. Oops!
I thought this was SUCH a great box! Sure, there weren’t as many items as usual, but they were all useful, high-quality products. No lame filler items or overpriced vinyl pouches (ugh). The total value of everything (not including the gift card) was $99, which is less than most of their boxes but still a total steal for $39/month.
Right now POPSUGAR is offering a FREE gift when you sign up for the next (June) box! Since May is already sold out, they’re making it worth the wait by sending everyone who subscribes for June a FREE Sorial Wallet on a Chain ($49 value) as featured in November’s box! Just use coupon code “WELCOME” at checkout.
When that offer expires, you can still save $5 on your first box when you use coupon code “MUSTHAVE5” at checkout. That’ll make your box around $35 shipped!Browse more Lifestyle Boxes in my Subscription Box Directory
