Let’s see what’s in my Summer 2021 Alltrue box!
Everything was shipped in a summery fruit-themed box designed by illustrator Jordan Amy Lee.
A peek inside!
A full color, fold-out information sheet included a list of all of the available product options/choices for the Summer 2021 box, along with additional details about each one.
Bambóozle 5-Piece Bamboo Nesting Bowls ($65 value)
The first customization choice included the set of bamboo nesting bowls above, a Manna Hydration Cooler Tote ($65 value), or an Enchante Home Indigo Round Beach Towel ($85 value). I wavered a bit between the cooler tote and the bowls, but ultimately selected the latter (and I’m glad I did!). Comprised of 70% bamboo fiber/15% cornstarch/15% binding resin, this colorful 5-piece bowl set was made using bamboo sourced from post-industrial waste — using offcuts and discarded pieces of furniture & flooring that would otherwise have been incinerated. They’re even dishwasher-safe and fully biodegradable!
MYTAGALONGS Packing Cubes ($42 value)
The second customization choice was between the packing cubes above, a Coalatree Packable Hammock ($64 value), Golden & Pine Waffle Dishcloths ($28 value), or Reduce To-Go Bowl ($20 value). I’m 99% sure that I already have a set of packing cubes from another subscription, but I seem to have misplaced them during our recent move. The set above includes three different sized cubes with partially mesh fronts and zip closures. The material is a little thinner than I expected, but I do appreciate that it’s made from recycled water bottles. Since I rarely travel these days, I’ll be using these to store off-season things like mittens and fuzzy socks/slippers. 🙂
Small Hours Cutlery Set ($25 value)
The third customization was a choice between the cutlery set above and an Ettika Bracelet ($35 value). While the bracelet was pretty (and not gold!), I’m super picky about jewelry so I opted for the cutlery set. It includes a stainless steel knife, fork (spork?), and spoon — all tucked into a travel-friendly tin. Since I work from home and don’t do the whole “camping” (or traveling) thing, I’m just going to toss this into my glovebox so we’ll always have a set of utensils on the go.
Cosmedix Bakuchiol Complete Plant-Based Retinol Alternative Serum ($80 value)
The fourth customization choice was either the serum above or Cosmedix Skin Thirst Moisturizing Hyaluronic Acid Cream ($60 value). Honestly, I wasn’t thrilled with either choice and just went with the one that had the highest retail value. 😉 This plant-based serum promises to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while leaving the skin hydrated. To use, simply apply a small amount onto freshly cleansed & toned skin morning and/or night.
Brand With Heart OMG Smooth Leave-In Conditioning Blend ($24 value)
The final customization choice was a leave-in conditioner or Way of Will Brightening Face Serum ($37.50 value). Since I knew I wouldn’t use the serum (and it was already included in a past box), I chose the leave-in conditioner for my kiddos. They both have super curly hair that’s prone to tangling, so I’m hoping this will help smooth things out. Its piña colada scented formula is super lightweight and fortified with their special blend of maqui berries, bamboo extract, a signature blend of super fruits, and more to fortify, nourish and restore hair from the inside out.
Hanalei Hawaiian SPF Lip Trio ($18 value)
ALL subscribers received the last item, a trio of lip balms from Hanalei. The balms are formulated with Kukui nut oil, a moisturizing elixir packed with antioxidants and Vitamins A, C, and E. They’re also 100% cruelty-free and vegan-friendly. Scents included Island Mint, Tropical Citrus, and Unscented.
Each box always includes a 5 x 7 inch print designed by a new artist each season. The fun fruit-themed card above was made by illustrator Jordan Amy Lee.
Subscribers also received a mini 50-page version of their print magazine, All Good Things. You can choose to receive the full version (100+ pages) with an upgraded subscription.
As the debut box under their new name, I was fairly happy with the Summer 2021 Alltrue box. Were there a couple customization options I wasn’t thrilled about (looking at you Cosmedix product “choice” and repeat serum), but overall I was satisfied with the curation. My favorite items from the Summer 2021 box were the Bamboozle Nesting Bowl Set, Mytagalongs Packing Cubes, Small Hours Cutlery Set, and Hanalei Lip Balm Trio. The total retail value of everything in my box was $254! 😀 — Remember, for a limited time you can save $10 on your first box! (No coupon needed)
