I haven’t gotten an Urthbox since March so I was surprised when this November box just kinda showed up unexpectedly the other day. I’m not a fan of unexpected visitors, but snacks? Those can show up whenever the heck they want.

If you’re not aware, Urthbox is a monthly snack box that focuses on products that are natural, organic, and GMO-free. Yep, I’ve finally decided to jump on the bandwagon and sign up for Birchbox! I had heard really good things about it and was curious if I’d enjoy it more than Ipsy. Plus, I also heard they had an awesome rewards system and was eager to check it out.

If you’re new to Birchbox (like me!), it’s basically a monthly subscription box that sends you 4-5 grooming, beauty, and lifestyle samples for just $10/month. As with the last few boxes I’ve reviewed, my November Citrus Lane box was also mega late due to the winter storm. It was totally worth the wait though, because I LOVE it!

If you haven’t heard, Citrus Lane is a monthly subscription for babies/kids aged newborn-5. It’s $29/month (less with longer term subscriptions) and includes a nice assortment of toys, books, snacks, toiletries, etc. Sometimes they even include a gift for mom. Phew! I didn’t think I’d ever see my November Love With Food box. First, they notified me that it would be late and credited my account with 200 points for the trouble. Then the winter storm hit and delayed the box even more. Finally it arrived yesterday, in a big ol’ heap of equally tardy boxes.

It’s been a sloooow mail week here, thanks to the record-breaking winter storm that hit the Buffalo area. I haven’t gotten one subscription box all week (the horror!!). I was excited when my November bluum box was delivered before I even got a shipping notification. Unfortunately, the excitement ended there…

If you’re new here, bluum is a monthly subscription box for babies & kiddos from birth through age 5. Each box contains five or more products that are responsibly sourced, eco-friendly and often organic. The contents are based on the age of your kiddo in months, so boxes tend to vary a LOT. Ipsy is a beauty subscription that sends subscribers a monthly “Glam Bag” full of cosmetics and beauty accessories for just $10/month. When you sign up, you take a “beauty quiz” to determine your likes/dislikes, makeup preferences, etc. This helps Ipsy learn which products to send in your Glam Bag.
