Goodie’s Co recently announced they would be offering a Kid’s Box and this is the very first one! I had seen spoilers before I got my box and was very impressed with the snacks included. As with the original Goodies Box, the Kid’s Box is only $7, shipping included! Plus, it comes in a super cute box that your kiddo’s can color. Neat!

Sweet Pea Box is a monthly subscription for baby/kid’s clothes (sizes newborn to 8). Each month they send you a selection of clothing based on profile info you provide, such as your child’s gender, size, color preferences, style (hipster, princess, athletic, etc). You can also include any additional information to help them choose the perfect outfits for your little fashionistas.
Brands will vary, but you may receive pieces from Childrens Place, Osh Kosh, Old Navy, Carters, Gymboree, Sage Creek Organics, Kate Quinn Organics, Violet + Moss, Tea Collection, and more! Boxes are priced based on how many pieces you’d like per month: 4 items is $30, 6 items is $40, and 8 items is $50. Pieces include pants, tops, pj’s, jackets, onesies, dresses, and skirts.
Sweet Pea Box was kind enough to send me a 6-item box for review. The information I provided them was the girls’ size, style (hipster, pastel, & girly), and that they were free to send items one size up as well as their current 12 month size.

Splendies is a newish subscription “box” for undies! For only $12 per month, you’ll get 3 pairs of underwear in whichever size you choose. The catch is, you don’t get to choose the style. Once again Citrus Lane teased me with their early shipping. My box departed on the 13th, yet still didn’t make it to me until the 21st. SO slow! Thankfully, I was pretty happy with the contents, so I’ll forgive the Pony Express-like shipping time.

Tasty Bite recently contacted me to see if I would be interested in reviewing some of their ready-to-eat meals. I’ll be honest, I was a little skeptical of the whole “meal in a pouch” thing, but I was curious, so I accepted their offer. (I’m glad I did!)
Tasty Bite specialize in both Indian and Pan-Asian dishes, many of which are vegan or vegetarian. (They also offer gluten-free and kosher options.) The meals are fully cooked and sealed in multi-layered pouches that keep it fresh for up to 18 months. They’re perfect for taking to work, on a camping trip, or just for making a quick meal at home. It’s Conscious Box time again! A couple weeks ago I reviewed the Summer Mystery Box… That one was a “bonus” that you could purchase separately, in addition to your normal subscription. This one is the “regular” August (vegan) box. There’s also another “bonus” box that’s shipping in early September called the “1% Box”. I believe that one’s still for sale. But yeah, this is the normal August one. (Confused yet?)

This is my second Love With Food box and the theme this month is “Backyard BBQ”. Thankfully, despite the not-so-vegan theme, there were quite a few vegan-friendly items in the box. Yippee!

Orange Glad is a new subscription box launched last month that specializes in baked goods and sweet treats. They select popular items from various bakeries around the country and pack them all together to be delivered right to your door. Boxes start at $15/month plus shipping. Not a bad deal for a box full of yummers.
Unfortunately for me, none of the items in the August box were vegan. However, I fully expected this to be the case, so I wasn’t too bummed. My family was more than happy to take the treats off my hands.

Our Local Box is a fun subscription service that sends you the best of Kentucky every month. Items can range from food/snacks, beauty products, things for the home, and even Kentucky-themed t-shirts.
I was excited when Our Local Box agreed to send me a box for review, but even more so when I found out that the theme for August was “Vegan Treats from Kentucky”. Um, talk about good timing! (Serendipity? Yeah, we’ll go with serendipity.)

I was pleasantly surprised to see the August Taste Trunk on my doorstep today. They don’t send tracking numbers, so it just kinda shows up when it wants. Which is sorta nice, since I don’t have to obsessively refresh any tracking pages. 😉
As with last month, I ordered the “Health Trunk”. There are 4 different themed boxes (“trunks”) to choose from: “Sweet Trunk”, “Gourmet Trunk”, and “BBQ Trunk”. Can’t decide which one you want? They have an option on their website to switch trunks whenever you want. You can change it every month if that’s the way you roll. Personally, I always stick with the Health one, since I assume I’ll have a better chance at getting vegan items in the box. (So far, so good.) [read more…]

The girls had their twelve month checkup this week. Everything was great, except that the doctor wants them to go to a feeding clinic. They still don’t quite enjoy the whole “solids” thing, nor do they want any part of holding their own bottles. And sippy cups? Pfft. So yeah, I guess they need some… intervention. Anyone have any experience with this sorta thing? Or are my kiddos just little divas who think they’re too posh to chew?
