Subscription details
Birchbox is a monthly subscription box that sends you 4-5 grooming, beauty, and lifestyle samples for just $10/month. When you sign up you take a style quiz and they send you products that best fit your profile. Both well-known and up-and-coming brands are included, all in generously sized multi-use samples.
Their rewards program is easily one of the best around. You earn points for reviewing your samples, referring friends, and purchasing full sized products. Each review is worth 10 points and referrals are 50 points. Every 100 points gives you $10 to spend in their shop. The points rack up fast and there’s no limit to how many you can earn. The shop is full of great products including candles, cosmetics, home accessories, tea, chocolate, and lots more goodies. Since each box contains at least 5 samples, you’ll already be racking up 50 points after you review them. So it’s sort of like paying $5 per box instead of $10, since you get that $5 in store credit. Nice!

Ok, so I agree with you that I definitely don’t use all the products I get (but my teenage daughter loes taking anything off my hands lol) but i love their point system too and it’s worth the price because I get to try out different new stuff without committing to something before I know I like it.
So, just on variety and value I keep subscribing to this box, and my daughter keeps reminding me not to cancel!!

June 2016 Birchbox Review
A decent box this month, despite not having a use for 2 of the 5 products. I’m excited to try out the Evologie serum, and travel-size shampoo is always handy. Not sure if I’m brave enough to test out the brow stuff, but we’ll see. 😉

February 2015 Birchbox Review
Nope, not happy with this month’s box. I’ve seen other variations that would have been much more suited for me, but what can ya do… That’s the chance you take with subscription boxes. Here’s hoping next month kicks some serious bootay.

March 2015 Birchbox Review
Decent box this month. I think I’ll give all of the products at least one try. I’m most excited about the lotion, since I’m a huge fan of rosemary. The spray-in treatment is useful, and the masks are worth a try I guess. The overall value is the most impressive factor, for sure.

April 2015 Birchbox Review
Not my favorite Birchbox, but definitely not the worst. Even though I don’t need any more makeup/skincare products, I just can’t bring myself to want to cancel. Their points system is great and the monthly cost is so low that it never feels like a total waste (even when I only use 1 or 2 of the products).

May 2015 Birchbox Review
Not a bad box, but not amazing. I’ll use the eyeshadow for sure, the Harvey Prince perfume is a nice surprise, and the other 3 products I might use. But hey, for $10 a month, you really can’t complain. 😉

June 2015 Birchbox Review
Nice product selection this month. Not thrilled about yet another perfume sample, but pretty content with the rest of the picks. Always fun to get a bonus item too.

August 2015 Birchbox
Not my favorite box, but not horrible. I was hoping for a darker shade of polish and that I’d be more into the other products once I got them, but… nope. Ah well. Can’t win ’em all.

August 2015 Birchbox Review
Not a huge fan of my Birchbox this month. The lipstick smeared all over the box kinda started it off on the wrong foot and it never quite redeemed itself. Meh. There’s always next month!

Birchbox Gym Bag Heroes Limited Edition Box Review
A great box for anyone who likes to work out. The value was beyond impressive and the products were all very gym-friendly.

October 2015 Birchbox Review
A solid box with some great brands this month. I loved that they included so many natural products too!

December 2015 Birchbox Review
Not my favorite Birchbox, but still worth the $10/month cost of the subscription. Even when I only like a couple of the items, their points system always makes it worthwhile. 🙂

January 2016 Birchbox Review
While I didn’t exactly love getting a lame perfume sample in my box to kick off the new year, I was happy with the polish and eyeliner, so it’s all good. As always, the overall value was well worth the cost of the $10/month subscription.

A decent month with a good value and a gorgeous box design. 🙂

December 2014 Birchbox
Pretty box, but kinda missed the mark with the products this month. Still, not a bad box considering they included a $10 voucher for GAP which right there was worth the cost of the entire box. Box box box. How many times can I use “box” in a summary? A few more… Box box box. There. Ten.

November 2014 Birchbox Review
Great “first impression” box! I love bubble bath & anything lemon-y, so that was a hit. The pore de-clogger sounds interesting… My hair could always use some nourishing… I love polish, but would have loved it more if it were an actual color. Overall, I’m happy.

January 2015 Birchbox Review
I haven’t been a Birchbox subscriber for very long, but this is definitely my least favorite month so far. Everything just seemed so “blah”. So much black, white and beige. Hopefully next month is a little more exciting. Fingers crossed.
