Subscription details
bluum is a monthly subscription box for babies & kiddos from birth through age 5. Each box contains five or more products that are responsibly sourced, eco-friendly and often organic. The contents are based on the age of your kiddo in months, so boxes tend to vary a LOT. I really love this about bluum, since I’m never really sure just what I’ll see when I open their big red box.
Additional info from bluum’s website:
bluum currently works with more than 500 of the best brands in the market. Each month, we introduce you to 4-5 new, full-size quality products to discover for you and your little one. Products are a surprise and we don’t announce the contents of your box until it arrives at your doorstep. bluum boxes are staged in developmental themes, which fall under three categories:
- bluum pregnancy (for expecting moms)
- bluum baby (newborn up to 12 months)
- bluum toddler (13 months and up).
- Preschool box available for bluum kids up to 4 years old
As a bluum subscriber, the transition from one stage to the next is seamless for each child that you get a bluum box for. You simply set up a new child with the age and gender then select the subscription of your choice.
No two bluum moms or babies are alike. So why should the products and product selections be? Since bluum started in June 2011, we listened carefully what our thousands of moms want to see in their boxes each month and built smart technology to create boxes individually for each subscriber. Products are matched to your child’s age, gender and developmental stage. Over time, we are launching more features to further customize your boxes.
Cancellation Policy
Monthly subscriptions can be canceled before the next renewal date shown on your original order confirmation or the 1st day of the month to avoid getting billed and getting shipped the next box. Subscriptions on a longer billing cycle than monthly (3, 6, 12 months) can be cancelled after the initial prepaid term has been completed. If cancelled prematurely, customers are subject to $25 cancellation fee.

March 2017 Bluum Review
A great box with products we’ll start using ASAP. (The girls are already playing with the lace & trace set as I type!)

November 2016 bluum Review
One of the highest value bluum boxes I’ve gotten in a while! Thrilled with the hooded towel and happy with everything else. More than $65 in products this month.

July 2016 bluum Review
Not the most exciting box this month, but still totally useable items. Plus, the value was there, so I’m happy. 🙂

June 2016 bluum Review
Even though the overall value was lower than usual, I’m still totally happy with the items I chose. My girls will enjoy everything we received, so it’s a win for me! 🙂

Bluum May 2016 Pre-K Subscription Box Review & $10 Coupon
I’m SO glad that bluum really stepped it up once Citrus Lane folded. It used to be very hit or miss, but ever since they started giving you the option to choose your own items, I’ve been happy with every box. The value’s been great too!

bluum February 2014 Review
Although I wish we didn’t already have the stacker, I was still pretty happy with my bluum box. All of the other products will get used and I really like that most of them were full sized. I’ve seen mixed reviews of these boxes, but so far I’d say I’m a fan. Oh! And the total of everything in the box comes to $44.93 — almost double the cost of the month-to-month sub! Woo!

bluum March 2014 Review
This is only my second month of bluum, but I’m already a major fan. I was a little nervous about signing up, as I’ve heard mixed reviews, but so far I’m more than happy with what I’ve received. The total of the items in this box comes to $49.52, which is almost DOUBLE the cost of a monthly subscription!

bluum April 2014 Review

bluum May 2014 Review
The total of all the items in this month’s box comes to a whopping $49.49! — Nearly double the monthly cost! Awesome!! Gotta love a high value box! Although there wasn’t a true theme, I was happy to receive so many “summery” items. Definitely useful stuff.

bluum June 2014 Review
Wow! What a packed box this month! I’m usually pretty happy with bluum in general, but I think this is the fullest box I’ve ever received from them. So much stuff!

bluum July 2014 Review
Once again, I’m pretty happy with my bluum box. It was nice to get a couple favorites (Boogie Wipes & a book) and also be introduced to new brands/products. All totaled, the items in my box have a retail/Amazon value of $36.81. Not quite as high as last month’s packed box, but still a higher value than the cost of the box itself.

bluum August 2014 Review
I thought this was a pretty good bluum box. We’re always happy to get more books, and the sound one will be fun to try out. The immunity pops will come in handy for the upcoming cold season, the pouches are (usually) a hit, and the bath toy is cute. All totaled, the value of the August box (using Amazon prices) comes to $44.05. Definitely worth more than what I pay monthly!

September 2014 bluum Review
This box was FULL of great stuff! THREE books, a cute bowl, a card game, and 2 snacks? Seriously awesome box! One of my favorite boxes to open these days.

October 2014 bluum Review
So-so month for me. Love the puzzle and the body part matching game will come in handy, but I wasn’t crazy about the bath toys (mostly because we already have so many). I wish the Luna bars were the regular, vegan versions, but that’s not bluum’s fault. Overall, a decent box though.

November 2014 bluum Review
The box was okay, value-wise, but I’m definitely not happy that adult vitamins were mostly responsible for this (seemingly) impressive value. I get enough things for myself in other boxes… A kid’s box is not the place for ridiculously priced adult gummy vitamins.

December 2014 bluum Review
I was so relieved to see an improvement this month. It’s a good thing we like books, since there were 3 of ’em. The socks are cool and I’m curious to see if they work. The puzzle isn’t something I’d normally pick out but I’m sure my kiddos will like it. Overall, good stuff!

January 2015 bluum Review
While the overall value of this box was good, most of it was is in the “mom” items. I subscribe to plenty of boxes for myself… I really don’t need 2 high value “mom” products in a kid’s box. I don’t think my girls would have much fun with makeup remover and hand cream. Hopefully next month’s box will make up for this one… Fingers crossed.

February 2015 bluum Review
Not an awful box, but not awesome enough to get me to renew. I really wish they’d nix the pricey mom gifts and put more money into the kid’s items. I get plenty of other boxes for ME. I want kid’s boxes to have kid’s stuff. Seems like a reasonable request to me, no?

April 2015 Bluum Review
This was an alright box, but nothing too exciting. I do love the Melissa & Doug puzzle, since my girls are such fans. We didn’t need another Goodbyn, but they’re useful so no biggie. The plate is okay, though it’s a brand I’ve never heard of and looks a little cheapish. The cleansing foam… meh. Hopefully my husband enjoys it. 😉

Bluum December 2015 Toddler Box Review
I really like the changes that bluum’s made since I last subscribed. It’s fun to be able to choose my own items and I LOVE that I can opt out of the mom gift. 😉

Bluum January 2016 Toddler Box Review
Yeah, I picked all the items myself this month, but still — what a great box! 😀

February 2016 Preschooler Bluum Box
It’s kind of hard NOT to give a box a 5 star rating when you choose all of the items yourself. 😉 Still, I’m happy with the choices I had available and with the things I picked out. And no “mom” items! Woo! 🙂

March 2016 bluum Pre-K Review
I’m so happy that bluum really stepped it up now that Citrus Lane is gone. It has quickly become one of my favorite kid’s subscription boxes. 🙂

April 2016 Bluum Pre-K Subscription Box Review
Crazy good value box this month! I don’t even mind that I received an item I didn’t choose. It was THAT good. 🙂
