I recently reviewed the My Pretend Place quarterly Dress-Up subscription (seen here) and now it’s time to check out their other offering — a monthly Pretend Play Projects subscription!
The My Pretend Place Pretend Play Projects box is geared towards children 3 to 8 years old. It contains all of the materials needed to complete a new pretend play item each month. My March Glossybox was delayed due to “extreme weather” near their warehouse. It finally arrived a couple days ago but I’m pretty happy with it, so no biggie.
If you’re not aware, Glossybox is a monthly beauty subscription box that sends 5-6 deluxe sized samples packed inside a super sturdy, reusable box. The packaging is top notch and only the highest quality brands are included. Like many of the other beauty subscriptions, you’ll fill out a personal beauty profile when you sign up so that they can send products that best suit your lifestyle, skin type, etc. [read more…]
Ecocentric Mom time! I keep telling myself to switch over to the “mom” version of the box, but I’m just not ready to give up the cutesy baby things (or admit that my 2 1/2 year olds aren’t babies anymore!).
If you’re unaware, Ecocentric Mom is a unique subscription box that features mom & baby products that are eco-friendly, natural, organic, and often vegan-friendly. There are 3 different box options to choose from. I (still) subscribe to the “Mom & Baby” box, but they also offer a “Mom-to-Be Box” and just a plain ol’ “Mom” box. They also recently announced a new “Ecocentric Box” for women in general (moms and non-moms alike!).
It’s finally Spring! So it only makes sense that Ipsy’s theme for March is “Floral Fantasy”. Peace out, snow.
If you’re new here, Ipsy is a beauty subscription that sends subscribers a monthly “Glam Bag” full of cosmetics and beauty accessories for just $10/month. When you sign up, you take a “beauty quiz” to determine your likes/dislikes, makeup preferences, etc. This helps Ipsy learn which products to send in your Glam Bag. Loot Crate unboxing time! The theme for March is “Covert” and pays tribute to secret agents, spies, missions, and things of that nature. Not really my cup o’ tea, but I’ll try to keep an open mind.

OwlCrate is a brand new subscription box for fans of young adult novels. Every month will be centered around a different theme and contain not only a newly published hardcover book, but a handful of other fun book-related goodies as well.
OwlCrate is run by a cute couple from Vancouver, BC who are self proclaimed “massive book geeks”. They founded this subscription in order to bring together fellow book nerds and spread the magic of the written word throughout the world. I recently found out that BuddhiBox has started offering their subscribers a vegan box option. How cool is that? When you sign up, you simply check a box indicating that you prefer vegan items and you’re good to go. Easy peasy!

I wasn’t too impressed when I initially saw the spoilers for the March POPSUGAR Must Have box, so I wasn’t all that excited when it arrived at my door. I think I got a little spoiled by the awesomeness that was February’s box. Ah well…

I still haven’t received my own March Citrus Lane box yet, but my mom got hers a couple days ago… This seems to happen a lot and makes absolutely no sense since we live all of 20 minutes apart. Anywho, she brought it along today when she stopped over to visit the kiddos. Thanks, mom!

Time to see what’s in my March Birchbox! Like last month, I wasn’t too stoked about the sample choices we got (subscribers get to choose one of their samples from a selection of 3 products). Still, it’s always fun to see what else will be in the box.

Taste Guru is a monthly subscription box dedicated to the gluten-free lifestyle. While I don’t personally follow a gluten-free diet, I do enjoy a good snack box.
