The theme for this quarter’s My Pretend Place Dress-Up subscription (reviewed here) was “Superhero” and featured a cape, shield, and other fun “superhero stuff”. May’s Pretend Play Projects box had a similar crime-fighting theme — “Ninjas”!

Berry Cart is a free app (for both iPhone and Android devices — download here) that gives you cash back on healthy grocery purchases… just buy a qualifying product shown in the app, submit a photo of your receipt, and receive cash back within 24 hours. I’ve had the Berry Cart app on my phone for a while now, so of course I was excited to hear that they started offering a subscription box comprised of the same great brands that they feature on the app.

Every item in your Berry Cart box will have a cash back offer available on the app. So if you try something you love, you’ll be able to save money when you decide to purchase it on your own. Boxes will contain at least 4 full-sized products, as well as samples for a total of 8-10 items. There will also be a bonus rebate for frequently bought items such as apples, grapes, etc. All items will be free of artificial flavors, sweeteners, preservatives, and high-fructose corn syrup. Fit Snack time! I’m really liking all the healthy snacks I’ve been discovering from this box. Lots of vegan ones too!

Fit Snack doesn’t just toss any ol’ snacks into their boxes. They have a set of guidelines that help them choose items that are both well balanced and nutrient dense. When selecting products to include in the box, they use the Fit Snack “Perfect 10″. Put simply, they look for snacks that fall into one or more of these categories: Nutrient Dense (high in protein, complex carbs, low sugar index), Consciously Made (GMO free, organic production, sustainably farmed), and Diversified Energy (gluten free, clean eating, paleo, raw).

Each box will contain 6 to 9 healthy (yet satisfying) items that have total retail value of at least $30. While most of the items fall into the “snack” category, they also send cooking mixes, oils, and the like.
