The Fantasy Box is a monthly subscription service designed to help you spice up your love life. (Yep, I’ve finally taken the plunge… I’m reviewing an “adult” box!) If you know me (or Mike) personally and would like to keep thinking that a stork dropped off our girls, you should probably skip this post. (If it helps, I’m reviewing the items before they get any use.) For everyone else, be forewarned: There will be photos of items intended for mature readers. (Ooh la la!) [read more…]
Whimseybox is a fun subscription box for those who like to get their craft on! Each month they send you a different DIY project, along with all of the supplies needed to complete it. They also include a pretty 5×7 art print to collect and/or get crafty with. Their motto is “Stop Pinning and Start Making!”.
I must admit, I’m not a very crafty person. Like, at all. When I was little I LOVED crafts, but now… not so much. However, now that I have 2 little girls of my own who’ll likely be all about “making things” in a few years, I figure I better start getting myself reacquainted with glue guns and glitter pens.
Unfortunately, this month’s project was a little more advanced than my current skill level (say, age 5-10 maybe?). 🙁 Hey, I told you I haven’t crafted in a while…
Okay, time to see what project came in this month’s
box of intimidation Whimseybox… [read more…]
I love that Vegan Presence ships at the beginning of the month. LOVE. IT. However, that said, this month’s offerings were kinda disappointing for me.
As always, the items were beautifully packaged. That’s never an issue. They always put such care into wrapping everything up so nicely and making you feel like you’re opening gifts from a friend. It’s a nice, personal touch that I really appreciate.
I suppose my “issue” this month was due to the fact that they had a guest curator choose all of the items. Normally, this wouldn’t be a biggie, except that the person chosen runs a beauty blog. As anyone who’s been reading here for a while knows, beauty is NOT my thing. (Did I just proclaim my ugliness? That’s not exactly what I meant…) I guess I’m just unadventurous when it comes to beauty products. When I find something that works, I just keep on keepin’ on. I’m not a fan of trying new things when it comes to face lotion, cleansers, etc. However, I do realize that I’m in the minority here. So I’m not saying this box is “bad”, it’s just not for me. Make sense? Awesome!
Okay… Enough rambling… Let’s see what I got!
My Giggle Box is a monthly subscription box full of crafts & fun projects for kiddos aged 3-7. Every box includes detailed instructions, along with all of the materials needed for each activity.
There are 2 different box types to choose from: The Standard Activity Kit & The Ultimate Activity Kit. The Ultimate Activity kit is $29.99/mo and includes crafts, activities, Parent & Me, The Giving Project, Outdoor Adventures, activity sheets, fun facts, a recipe, and a hardcover book. Add-On Kits are also available so siblings won’t have to fight over which activities they each get to do (cos you KNOW it’s gonna happen!).
I was sent August’s Ultimate Activity Kit to review. The theme this month was “A Day at Camp”. Let’s see what was in the box! [read more…]

FabKids is a monthly clothing subscription for toddlers & older kiddos (sizes 2-12). Each month you can choose a 3-piece outfit that best fits your child’s style. There are plenty of different outfits to choose from (and mix n’ match), but if nothing appeals to you (or your little one), no problem! You can skip a month… or two… or as many as you’d like. You’re never *forced* to buy anything. A+ for that!
I received a code in this month’s Citrus Lane box that was good for one free outfit. I only had to pay $4.95 for shipping… Which is actually kinda funny, since shipping is normally free, but whatever. $4.95 for a whole outfit is a pretty awesome deal, so I went ahead and signed up. Here’s the outfit I chose… [read more…]
Little Passports is a fun subscription service that takes your child on an interactive adventure across the country or around the world (or both!). Each month your child will receive a package of goodies that teaches them about “geography, history, culture, and language in a fun and memorable way”.
There are two different subscription options available: The World Edition, which introduces your child to a new country every month (for children 5-10) and The USA Edition, which features 2 different states per month (for children 7-12). Each option comes with a different set of materials (World Edition comes with a mini suitcase, USA comes with a camera), so choose wisely! 😉
Once again, Ecocentric Mom delivered an awesomely packed box for August! There’s never any extra room for tissue paper filler/padding in these boxes!
Ecocentric Mom offers 3 different subscription options: The Mom-to-Be Box, The Mom Box, or The Mom & Baby Box. Whichever option you choose, you can be sure that your box will contain at least 5-9 (often more!) expertly chosen products for you and/or your baby. The products are almost always natural, eco-friendly, healthy, and organic. They try to provide a good mix of full and sample-sized products, ranging from bath essentials, to teethers and toys, to healthy snacks & more.
Phone Case of the Month is a new subscription for… wait for it… phone cases!
Yep, you can give your beloved iPhone a brand new look every month with these super cute cases. Plus, all of the artwork is exclusive to Phone Case of the Month, so you’re definitely not gonna find these designs anywhere else (well, unless someone rips ’em off… but let’s hope they don’t!). They also limit the production of each design to 200 cases, so the chances of someone you know having the same case as you is very, very slim.
Oh, and these aren’t some crappy, barely fits your phone, cheaply made cases either. I’ve been using mine for a week now and I love it. They coat them with silicone for a nice, soft feel. I was afraid it might be a shiny, smooth surface, and it’s totally not. The artwork/printing is top notch too. This is quality stuff, friends! 😉 [read more…]
Watanut is a new subscription service specializing in… NUTS! Woo! Oh, but not only nuts… Trail mixes, dried fruits, and granola also find their way into the Watanut party!
Here’s the deal: Every month Watanut will send you 4 different healthy snack mixes in convenient, resealable containers. Each mix is a generous 6 ounces, giving you over 1 and a half pounds of snacking goodness! Boxes are $25/month, but you can get ’em for less with a 3-month (or longer) subscription.
Alright, time to get a closer look at my nuts! (Yep, I’m five.) [read more…]

Sweet Pea Box was kind enough to send me a 6-item box for review. The information I provided them was the girls’ size, style (hipster, pastel, & girly), and that they were free to send items one size up as well as their current 12 month size.
Alright, let’s see what they sent! [read more…]
